What are the largest issues plaguing XIV currently?

As soon as the gearing process is done, there is nothing to do, at least for me. PvP got murdered, We get only 1 dungeon per patch, the Rewards of the unreal trial are ..... absolutely not satisfying. I started playing WoW again just to have SOMEWHAT decent PvP. Until there is a major new patch, i dont see anything to make me play this game more frequently again.

People believing that FF14 has the "greatest MMO community" ever. But it's just like every MMO community that exists. Just the passive aggressive nature of the average player is the main issue. Because you can't tell anyone they need to get a tiny bit better at the game, or you'll be reported for 'harassing them'. When I mean by better at the game is this: At least do more than the bare minimum. No one is asking you to run a marathon; Just at least you skillsets and aoe skills. That's it. But no one wants to be told to use their skills, because it's "MUH FEELINGS" or "OMG I'M BEING HARASSED OMG OMG". The average player doesn't want to improve or at least TRY.

This isn't a single player game; You're grouping up with other people. If you want to cause issues for a group or "Take it slow" in endgame dungeons (this is different when it's brand new Day-1 content, then people understand. I'm talking about when it's been around for weeks), get your own group. Don't inconvenience other strangers, because you don't want to try to learn or at least compromise with the party. People are too afraid to be reported to ask people, even it's "NICE AND POLITE" to actually play their class more efficiently. Cause you'll get 'reported' for hurting someone's fees fees. The ToS change is frankly why people can get away with pulling this dumb too. SE is just empowering them to do this. The reddit forum for FFXIV is just as bad. Let's coddle all the bad players that DON'T want to improve at all.

Vote kick needs a less cooldown timer kthx. That way I can boot people more often, because they don't want to try to adjust or work with the party at all. You can dislike or disagree with me on my views. That's fine. This is just how I feel after 5 years of playing.

The biggest problem is that they are so vocal SE tends to pay them way more attn than they deserve and others let them taint their perceptions of the community much more than necessary.

honestly you can say this until you queue for mt gulg on a dps, and your dps partner doesnt use any AOE skills.
I had asked them nicely, to help AOE 5 minutes earlier they still didn't.
So after 20 minutes when you're ONLY AT THE 2ND BOSS, do you not hit a boiling point and want to vote kick or just log out?

It happens (both in game and irl I might add), but it's no so rampant that it's detrimental to the entire experience of the game. You just got randomly placed with one of the few bad apples. Vote kick or drop and go about your day.

Most of the time, like 3 from 5 runs. We just don't notice it because the other dps/healer is picking up their slack. Or you don't notice the lack of heals or tank cooldowns because youre a dps. If we would have a parser(because without it you can't see said person spamming only 1 button /sarcasm), we could probably kick half the people in 8-24 man stuff, but that would be toxic.

I am saying that the people that make our experiences bad by refusing to use skills or being the "you don't pay my sub" type of player or crying about difficulty and asking for nerfs are a small but very vocal and loud group, which is why they seem to be more prevalent than they are. Especially if you read the forums a lot, which is about as bad as if you spend too much time on reddit.

They give examples but when we run hundreds of dungeons and see this only in a handful at most. Condemning the entire population of the actions of the few is unreasonable. Which is why I am just asking to reflect on all the other hundreds of good runs and experiences you have in game instead of focusing on the few. If you let 1 jerk ruin your experience you are going to miss out on the hundreds of other players who will make it amazing.

Hence, vote kick, drop and move on with your day. And if you see the entire population of the game as a problem, the issue may not be with the entire population.
