Most ranking systems in game only encourage bots and exploiters

Granted, there are some people who do play by the rules but by and large, anytime there's something with a hint of scarcity or rarity to claim, out come the bots/exploiters to set and forget their way to the top.

Why not divide such things into ranking tiers? Like with this Ishgard stuff - if you get X amount of points or higher, you get Y reward. Doesn't matter if it's 1 million points or 12 million (botters gonna bot, I guess) but at least it gives people something to work toward, and yes, they still have to put in the work.

This would discourage the botters while also encouraging the people who want to give it a shot and can work toward it on their own time and still within the deadline you've set.

The top 12/100/whatever arbitrary number could still have their name and such on a ranking website like they do now. But that's not really what people do it for - they want the in-game stuff. Feasters do it anyway. Once they get 2000+ points/hit diamond, they stop playing anyway so it's happening already, in a sense. Might as well roll it out for every ranking system in game, if only to increase player participation and discourage cheaters.

the real question is how they reach too high,
that even when we calculated it requires more time,
unless they play 24/7 which not possible anyway,
and its already hard to reach 50k point, xD

There is someone in the Adamantoise crafter ranking who is top 12 in 4 different crafter tiers. His account was created like 3 months ago. Only has the mounts and minions from story. His 3 gatherers aren't even 80 and he has hundreds of thousands in points...

This dude is taking up 4 spots that should belong to legit players and not some bot BS. Even if he is an alt how do you make 50k plus points in one day with it and not your main? Makes absolutely no sense to me.

That's just it... you don't. Same thing happened on Feast (I think it was a JP server), the guy had like 4 or 5 characters on the leaderboard (identical design), and named them something like Character One, Character Two, if I remember right. At this point they're just flaunting it in SE's face and nothing happens to them...so then more people do it, and don't get caught, and the cycle continues. The legitimate players there, just like the legitimate crafters on Ishgard.. they try to call out the BS but it just seems like it falls on deaf ears. Hence why I proposed a solution above that's fair to everyone. I know GMs don't have a say in what does or doesn't get implemented, but I hope they notice and take it into consideration nonetheless.

they reach top with multi characters\accounts and sell them as they have unique rewards...
also now almost 6 days left, and still i have not reached 10k in farming or crafting xD
its too hard, yet people are too fast... make no sense at all, all rewards should be from scripe change i think, this way we can get same rewards,
however top rewards can be special title or different color of the mount, a bit unique..

i just wanna reach 50k for 1 gathering and 1 crafter for rewards, not interesting in doing all classes... its already tough
