Happy day to all reading this. I hope you’re all having a good time! I don’t know if something like this is possible, so please forgive me for asking if it is not but..

Can we please have further out dates announced for patches?

I have to make my schedule 6ish weeks in advance sometimes and I realize this isn’t everyone’s situation.. but I know there are working ppl that play this game too that would like the chance to have the day stuff drops off.

By the way.. as a humble request if there’s already a timeline for this kinda thing out.. can you please point me in that direction?

Major patches drop roughly every three months, with minor patches releasing three weeks after each other.
Here's a list of all the patches and the dates when they dropped (but keep in mind that the schedule has been permanently shifted due to the pandemic)

Interesting, that would put 5.4 somewhere in november or december.

We haven't even gotten 5.35 yet, and with the pandemic its almost impossible to guess. 5.3 was a full two months late as a result of the pandemic, there is no guarantee that 5.4 wont also be delayed by a month or more for similar reasons.

I am pleased to inform you that development production is back on course

Though it cost us roughly two months, our primarily home-based work system is now securely established, and we plan to return to our regular release schedule of roughly every three and a half months after Patch 5.3.

The .x to .x1 patches are usually 2 or 2.5 (for the .0 to .01) weeks apart.

.x to .x5 is almost always 6 weeks, and then 6-10 weeks for the next major patch.

.35 to .4 in stormblood was over 2.5 months, made worse by the only content in-between those being the worst (by far) eureka step.
