(5.25 spoilers) Questions about lore in "The Bozja Incident" quest

I really enjoyed the 5.25 Resistance questline, but it left me confused about a few details. Thank you in advance to anyone who's better at following lore details than I am, and can clarify these questions.

    1. How did Cid survive Bozja?
Am I misinterpreting the timeline presented in Cid's memory? It seemed like it was implying that he was present on the day that the Lunar Transmitter was activated, since he remembered the Bozjan Resistance storming the city streets. And then he got shot while trying to convince Midas not to go through with the activation.

How did Cid go from bleeding out on the floor of Transmission Control to being far enough away to not get glassed like the rest of Bozja and its inhabitants?
    2. Why does Cid seem surprised that Midas was tempered by Bahamut, and opine that "all that time, no one was the wiser" (paraphrasing)?
I'm not sure where I picked it up at this point, but I was under the impression that it was common knowledge (to players) that Bahamut had tempered Midas through the Meteor Project's attempted contacts with Dalamud, and I thought this was already elaborated on somewhere in-game as well.

It even seemed borderline-explicit in one of the conversations in Praetorium back in 2.00, when Gaius pretty heavily implies (while talking to Cid) that he knows Midas was tempered back then:

Gaius: In the winter of his years, Midas came to abhor his part in Meteor. He told me that he wanted nothing more than to wash his hands of the whole sordid business.

Cid: But he did not wash his hands of it. He helmed the project until the day it killed him!

Gaius: Come now, Cid…you must know that he did not have the luxury of choice. By the time he realized his error, it was too late. Meteor had him completely in its thrall. Shortly before his…transformation, mayhap sensing that something was amiss, your father confided to me all the regrets of his life.
    3. What is the significance of Cid's necklace?
The camera work in the 5.25 quests seemed to make a lot of point of focusing on Cid's necklace at various times, especially in the final scenes.

I'll be honest, for the entire time that I've been going through the story of XIV, I've always thought of Cid's necklace as just some weird-looking... thingy... that Cid wears. Has its significance ever been explained or revealed to the players?
    4. Why were replicas of ancestral Bozjan Hrothgar holy weapons housed in the Transmission Control chamber of the Principia?
I talked to every NPC that I could find in Gangos, but I couldn't find any details that clarified why Midas would have replicas of these objects stored under glass in a location dedicated to the Meteor Project and the Lunar Transmitter, or even why Midas would have an interest in these items at all.

    1. The memory doesn't seem to be the exact day / time Midas activated the Lunar Transmitter, just when Cid figured out he was tempered by Bahamut but blocked the memory from his mind.

    2. I'm not so sure myself. Given we knew Bahamut was in Dalamud at the beginning of 2.0, being a smart man Cid should have figured it out well before 5.25 (even taking his amnesiac years as "Marques" into account.) Again though, mental blocks.

    3. Not sure. No importance or significance to it has been alluded to, though given it's his one constant between outfits I'd not be surprised if it has some significance to him.

    4. Also not sure, other than perhaps as power sources (Doylist: plot contrivance).

As far as 2 goes, my going theory is that it is a bit of willful disbelief on Cid's part. What Gaius said is just vague enough that you could believe he was talking about pressure from the emperor despite the fact that he should have known better.

At least for 4, the simplest answer is probably that they were always in Bozja and once Garlemald took over they just never saw a reason to throw them out.

Also I agree Cid was probably in denial about the tempering. There was already a lot of mental stuff going on, what with him suppressing the gunshot memory.

It is clear that Cid was in deep denial and trauma, even despite Gaius trying to spell it out to him back in Praetorium. The "antibodies", the image of Bahamut, and his ever shifting recollection of the altercation at the transmission room were all the barriers of his mind.

There is also the fact that until the binding coil of bahamut we weren't certain that Nael was tempered and not too many people outside of you are aware of those details. Though I am certain that Gaius was trying to imply Midas was tempered.

As far as the resistance weapons, they could have been there as museum pieces before the garleans came in, they could have also been studying them trying to find out if the properties of the mystical versions of the weapons could be replicated much like we are.
