    Unable to complete version update [30419] [19901] [22]

    Recently I brought a new computer and install the game on it but were met by this error message, [30419] [19901] [22].

    Like others who had encountered the issue, every time I re-open the game on steam, the old black layout launcher will always ask me to agree to the license agreement and sign in to my account again.

    Things I had tried so far include:
    I. The suggested solutions listed on the support centre:
    1.Restart networking equipment (Routers/modem)
    2.Update firmware of the equipments above.
    3.Temporarily disable internet security programs such as anti-virus or malware, onedrive, and firewalls.
    4.Forwarding ports myself.
    4.Check with ISP regarding forwarding ports.
    5.Close other apps while running the launcher
    6.Direct connection to the router

    Methods suggested found on different forums:
    II. Changing DNS.
    III. Using a VPN to update the laucher.
    IV. Using a mobile hotspot.
    V. Using a new Microsoft account to access the launcher.
    V. Re-installing
    VI. As well as the list of IE modifications posted by Einmimiria and other incredible moderators here.

    I do manage to download and update the game on my old computer, and attempted to move both the updated launcher and the downloaded game to the new one. Only to be blocked by the same message again from playing a game I had already downloaded.

    At this point, I know my chances are pretty low now in getting the game (the launcher actually) to work on my new computer. And had already made peace with myself about the possibility of parting with this wonderful game (since I don't intend to go back to my old pc just to play FF14).

    But still, hopefully someone can still suggest other solutions I haven't tried yet, thank you in advance!

    I find that it needs the VPN for more than updating the launcher.

    What I do is this:
    *Download on "normal" internet until it gives the error
    *Close launcher
    *Start VPN
    *Download past the point where it previously stopped on "normal" - and a couple of percent more to be safe
    *Close launcher
    *Exit VPN
    *Restart download on "normal" internet

    It's a bit...fussy, but faster than downloading everything via VPN

    Thank you for your reply, however, it seems like we're dealing with different errors.

    In my case, I couldn't even get to the point of downloading anything, the error appeared every time I log in the launcher. Besides, I already got the files for the actual game from my old pc, it's just the launcher not letting me in.
