Anywho, hello there fellow player! I thought about doing a little questionnaire for the heck of it. It's just something I saw another mmo's forums, so I thought you guys would like to try. I've formatted it to be relatable to ffxiv in general. You don't have to fill out everything if you don't want to. Just put 'N/A" in the spot or leave it a blank.

4. A whole set? No. My glamour choices for mains typically are a combination of AF, role specific leveling gear, glamour gear, and mogstation purchases. It is also very rare for me to cross glamour choices among multiple jobs. If I was to name a single piece of gear that I constantly use, it would be my elegant-rimmed glasses that I use for my SCH. I never use anything else for the head slot for that job.
4a. Attire clearly meant for females with no gender restrictions

5. If I had to choose one, it would be SCH. I big reason why I say that is because if you asked anyone from my FC which job I give the impression of being my main, they would undoubtedly tell you SCH (but she loves her SAM). Honestly if I went into the reasons why SCH resonates so strongly with me, my response would become too long. Let's just say I love shields, and I love fairies.
5b. Interesting question, because I am currently hosting a little contest between my remaining jobs to see which one I want to take into some EX trial progs with my SCH and SAM. I have a tank, healer, and melee DPS. I lack a strong ranged DPS, but it is also the role that interests me the least. In this little contest of mine, DRG and MNK are each leading the fray, and it's because I love melee combat. MCH and RDM are promising though, but I need to play them more.

6. Probably more of an all rounder, but I pull full effort into everything I participate in. I do a bit of everything except prog savage/ultimate. I can't dedicate the time required along with everything else I enjoy in the game.

7. How do I talk about my typical day without going into detail? xD
I jest a bit, but I am almost always on some sort of grind. The only thing typical are what I consider to be the daily chores within the game I do
7a. Those would be the daily chores I was referring to, which is anything I have to do that I don't want to do. I know you don't HAVE to do anything, and the entire game is optional; but I think you know what I mean. An example of a chore is making sure I cap out my allegory for the week before reset. And example of something that is not a chore is Shiva Unreal. I still join PF even after my retelling simply because I enjoy the challenge of clearing that damn fight among randos.

8. Too much to detail here. Simply put would be anything that brings a sense of accomplishment, and tranquility. This could be clearing a hard fight, finishing a grind, or simply looking up a starry Coerthas sky.
8a. Again, too much to detail, and I would rather focus on the positive atm.

Male roes using only a head glam like frog or pig and leaving the rest of their body naked. Or lalas glamming "naked baby" look

5. What's your main job and why?:

MCH. Yoshida said that (paraphrasing here) they reworked mch as a job that would use different machines for combat. I'm really glad they went that route because it's been fun and engaging. My favorite part is the burst phase of weaving the barells and the overheat shots.

5a: Do you play more than one job?:

Yes. SAM, WAR, PLD, DRK, DRG, and recently BLM
5b. That ONE job you want to pick up and "git gud" at?:
BLM. Only very recently did I finally got a hold of the rythm. I'm looking forward to mastering the rotation and optimizing it.

5c. Which job do you dislike and why?:
MNK. It just...never leaves me feeling good playing it like, ever. I feel like it just doesn't convey impact properly. Take for instance, that Kamehameha move and tornado kick. Those are the monk's flashiest moves...and they're weave-ins. That means visually, you'll never have time to take stock of these moves if you're playing properly. That's just one example for me. There's other things but overall, I just don't feel good playing mnk.

5d. If FF14 could have job from another game in the franchise, which would you want?:

FFX-2 Songstress. Well I guess here, it'd be renamed Singer. Let's complete that performance trinity (dancer, brd) by adding a singer!

7. What's the "typical day" for you when you log on (don't have to go into detail)?:

Dailies, dummy training, gathering.

7a. Anything that you "must do", because it's "required" that makes you annoyed?:

Well it's too late now but I used to hate being msq gated from things in the game. For example, when I started, you could only glam once you reached level 50. That was really messed up, imo. Also, you couldn't get your hand on poetics from leveling roulette until you unlocked and completed all the dgns that leveling roulette required. Even if you capped (back during HW).

8. Favorable parts of the game that make you happy?:

Gold Saucer and the Dimwold. Gold saucer, especially on cactpot night is so festive. Dimwold has this whole "enchanted foggy forest/swamp" vibe going for it.

8a. Least desirable parts that the game could be improved on?:

The scorched Earth methods that SE has employed for combat gameplay. They've taken the easy way out and now everything feels shallow AF.

9. When you use the DF, how many times have you had a "bad experience", and what happened? (can be vague or skip this):

Yeah hell of a broad question here, especially if you've been playing a long time. I can give an estimate in percentage per year: about 20%

9a. Any pleasant experiences when using the DF?:

1. How long have you been playing?:

Fairly consistently, but not always 'on' (have had a few breaks for whatever life reasons), since open beta of 1.0.

2. What server(s) do you live on?:

Fabul - > Balmung

3. Your character's race?:

Highlander until Hrothgar was released.

4. Any favorable glamour 'sets' you wear a lot?:

I like collecting some of the glamours, and wish for a bigger log- just for that sort of thing, but I tend not to spend much time on glamours unless I've been sitting in an armor set for a very long time.

4a. Expanding on 4, what kind of glamours make you go "what the heck"?:

Naked and mascot outfits during my first time in story content. Really takes away from the experience and makes the entire event seem like a joke. Which is fine after the first time.

5. What's your main job and why?:

Paladin for tank (and in general), Summoner for damage, white mage for healer. Paladin because I like the kit and vibes of the job, cover and clemency in clutch moments is loads of fun (and I pretty much exclusively run casual DF content, where being a try hard can mean success - unlike if your team lets you down in savage/ex/ultimate content and try hard means nothing lol). I don't feel I'm a terrible healer, deal damage when not healing, use ogcd heals mostly, but I like not having to worry much and as White Mage that seems easy (since I don't normally main that role). Summoner because I like the big demi stuff, and the job is versatile (though I also enjoy playing red mage due to the versatility).

5a: Do you play more than one job?:

I've played all of them, and I like all but Blue Mage to differing levels (I dislike blue mage, the one and only job I feel that way towards).

5b. That ONE job you want to pick up and "git gud" at?:

I feel I play all of the jobs 'acceptably' or better, but Scholar makes me feel shy. Failing to be proactive (for shields) and being reactive or stuff like Excogitation makes me like "GET READY FOR THE YOYO BOISSSSSS" and I internally shriek as their hp goes to 50% lol. The other healers I've never had such a concern about, Scholar just makes me feel uneasy lol.

5c. Which job do you dislike and why?:

Blue Mage. At nearly every single angle there is something I think was done just 'off' at best. For every reason they gave that it was this was I feel they only half achieved what they set out to do, for everything it could have been but isn't. Some of many, many, examples would be how they argued it had to be original blue mage with true original spells and so they can't balance it, yet then they go about and make more monsters immune to instant death for balance reasons, that they want original blue but then fail to give original fire angon for balance reasons, that they give blue mage the worst angel whisper in the history of FF games for balance reasons, that they say it was designed with a concept of solo play but make the most mechanically interesting parts of the job require either charity or PF parties and dedicate a mount to try and make the job more popular (if you don't have these spells your blue will be a joke of mechanics, being mechanically more basic than even lower level jobs), but I could dedicate a small book worth of reasons on why I think the job is neither as good as it should be, the reasons why some people like it are not exclusive or even well serviced but what they did, nor as good as it should be even with their own directive (which whether they state it or not is clearly making a cost effective PF focused job).

Frustrations of many different types, that is what Blue Mage is to me. Not a single variable dislike. For example I've any bias against PF exclusive concepts since my day is inconsistent and I don't want to beholden to a lobby (I dislike leaving once things start being pieced together, so rather than have to be like 'this taking too long I need to go' I'd rather not join- different than DF as I can leave in the queue at any time, and the queue tends to be instant anyways as tank lol, so I can save the duty finder timer worth of time as worst case and rely on that) or have to 'advertise' (I'm so done with the shouting for groups in any circumstance I can help it lol- I hate doing that, it's the old school type of mmo content I never want to have to deal with again), for hunts I'll use such a system but in general it's DF or I don't care to bother with it (hunts work because it's so grab and go).

5d. If FF14 could have job from another game in the franchise, which would you want?:

Terra Bradford / Vincent transformation focused job, you might say morpher but as soon as I say that the limited job bells start ringing and I don't want to see that happen to the concept of transformations. Or at least exclusively (could be either two jobs one limited one not, or one job that can do both concepts) but with the fate of blue mage I don't want to see another "like" blue mage (so in so much I say not limited as I don't want to see transformation concept begin and die in the limited world). If they can re-envision the concept and 'do better' then maybe (with massive emphasis of not needing PF to actually enjoy the job), but being able to main it would be most desirable. Like with Blue Mage I had thought if it was truly solo focused (it is not, and I will die on that hill if someone wants to argue lol), I might have liked that sort of blue- one focused on solo play and sort of mechanical interplay like legendary affix and abilities in Diablo 3 (but it's not that level of entertaining interplay, on top that it's hardly solo focused, which makes losing it to limited even more of an 'oof').

I think, for jobs that can take full advantage, a system of both can be neat (both limited and normal).

6. What kind of player do you call yourself (ex: Rper, casual, raider, social, crafter, all-rounder, etc)?:

All-rounder, casual. Long ago, and more so even when I played old WoW, I was more raider / hardcore but these days I just want to get in have some fun and get out. Pick up and go. No time or desire anymore to rub my face against the floor of ultimate challange (not that I think it's bad that content exists, but I've zero desire to play it unless I was being paid to do it for some reason lol).

7. What's the "typical day" for you when you log on (don't have to go into detail)?:

Daily beast, feed chocobos, water plants, do any event going on, maybe hit the Golden Saucer, maybe play a few moments of easy market board gil, maybe do a quest, maybe do a dungeon, log off.

7a. Anything that you "must do", because it's "required" that makes you annoyed?:

FATEs can feel like that sometimes.

8. Favorable parts of the game that make you happy?:

Environments, jobs system, jobs that are my favorite to play (like Paladin), story, music, etc.

8a. Least desirable parts that the game could be improved on?:

B..l..u..e.. mage..? lol. Housing for sure, I believe, ESPECIALLY, with the lore from ShB that FFXIV should and would have the best housing system if it had taken a rift/wildstar sort of direction. Using airships as a sort of "okay you don't want to control the minute details but you still want a place to call home". The lack of creativity easily allowed (people having to use glitches for example) I think is a sad thing for this game. Houses should be like 'make your own FF content, make our fantasy yours'.

Airship, moogle, and chocobo content I feel should be touched upon. For moogles and chocobo they have some already but I feel it should be regularly revisited (at least every other expansion), and airships imo are most neglected with their UI interface content. For a FF game I feel they could have made them a wonderful sort of garrison system (better than WoWs), or of course as a house.

Airship I feel could be this but I also believe FFXIV could use with a secondary casual friendly longterm upgrade project, akin to leveling your characters. You might see a cosmetic and role play merit system (sphere grid?) be allied to this too (not combat oriented things, so people are not ruined if they don't have "x"), but that would have trouble offering depth (certainly breadth and duration of content is possible from it). Relics kind of do this, Doma reconstruction was sort of this direction as well. Beast tribes are smaller scale (not that long term) but count, so I'm not arguing there isn't things that head this direction but it's something I enjoy and like.

Might not even want to add this to least desirable section lol, along with moogle, and chocobo, I'm not sure I'd say least desirable. Blue mage and housing for sure, they fit in this section. Airships.. maybe? . . They've a few fights on them and cutscenes, so it's not nothing, but I feel that the wonder of a sRPG airship moment could be made -incredible- via the length and scale that an MMORPG takes over (making it such a cool and integral feature, and as it tends to be later game for FF games anyways).

9. When you use the DF, how many times have you had a "bad experience", and what happened? (can be vague or skip this):

Not often, people tend to be quiet or polite and good enough to finish the content lol (so bad experiences would be the opposite of that :P).

9a. Any pleasant experiences when using the DF?:

Getting to clutch save stuff is fun, which happens more easily and often when you're in DF and you can try hard and it'll likely make a big difference (can self heal through bosses as a tank sometimes, etc). Watching other people clutch save is fun too. Chatting while doing MSQ roulette.

9b. Any improvements you think the DF, in general, needs?:

Curious if Trusts could be used to reduce extreme queue times, or quickly replace a member rather than mess the whole dungeon up if the queue looks to be a long time. Making sure people have suitable gear and job stones and such lol. Just things that make it a bit smoother.

10. If you could have ONE QUESTION answered by SE's Developers, what would you ask them?:

Would depend on if one would get an answer that is for the public / PR approved or an actual answer that would be the kind that they would give to each other when working on the game.

They're all pretty cool but always thought King Thoridan was fun.

There are a few I like but I think Emet has a special place.

I think most fights are fine to do over and over, but the whole insane duration on your buffs aspect of the Ascian fight (when you get sucked into the void) is always fun. Sometimes I think of the buffs I wish I could have made last longer lol (if it was level synced to 80 or whatever).

11d. How about a song you'd enjoy putting on repeat?:

Any primal / big fight song is pretty cool, I also quite like twilight over thanalan. Last zone's special area music is also quite nice on repeat.

12. If you could have a house in any zone, where would you build it?:

In either one of the wild looking boss zones (the space/sky like ones), Azim Steppe, or that shrine for all of the Stormblood primal minion guys. Although I keep seeing (mental picture) a really neat water feature desert area and kind of hope that becomes a reality in FFXIV. Like Altissa meets the desert, Clerya from FFIX meets water features, etc.

12a. What region do you find yourself AFKing the most?:

I tend to avoid afking, login, logout. If I afk it's because I quickly walked away. Though I enjoy the afk auto camera feature in the game when I do walk away and come back I'll see it show a few scenes for giggles.

4. Any favorable glamour 'sets' you wear a lot?: My caster glamour which uses the Eikon Corselet of Casting and the ruby tide longkilt? looks like dark chain robe bottom.
4a. Expanding on 4, what kind of glamours make you go "what the heck"?: Unintended usage of Costumes like Moogle head with something not fitting.
5. What's your main job and why?: RDM because I perform well on it like I did with BLM but with much less stress and less galaxy-brain thinking. RL had me exhausted and RDM is a blessing.
5a: Do you play more than one job?: RDM and GNB mainly. I do use NIN and WHM occasionally.
5b. That ONE job you want to pick up and "git gud" at?: NIN. Tremendously fun but I'm not very good with it.
5c. Which job do you dislike and why?: MNK. Its really not my playstyle. Really boring ÌMO

7. What's the "typical day" for you when you log on (don't have to go into detail)?: Everyday. I also AFK everyday lol.
7a. Anything that you "must do", because it's "required" that makes you annoyed?: Cap tomes. Cap Tomes. CAP TOMES.
8. Favorable parts of the game that make you happy?: The little references in every content. the story theories. Discovering a new job.
8a. Least desirable parts that the game could be improved on?: Dungeons in general could be improved, both on difficulty and rewards. Heck make a entirely new level with no effect on the story. Otherwise, there's nearly no point in being in the multiple maps. Some incentive would be great.
9. When you use the DF, how many times have you had a "bad experience", and what happened? (can be vague or skip this): Kinda hard to count but I probably got in the 100s ranging from ''ice mage'' to ''you don't pay my sub'' while passing by some high-end elitists ''Your DPS is trash''.
9a. Any pleasant experiences when using the DF?: Many. Either the silent super fast run, or the goofy run with another helpful mentor or the runs with a team full of talkative sprouts that listens!
9b. Any improvements you think the DF, in general, needs?: Make unsync faster to access, allow to queue multiple instance while unsync. Allow to queue for multiple roulettes (assuming you fit the team settings).
10. If you could have ONE QUESTION answered by SE's Developers, what would you ask them?: Will you guys ever create battles that involves multiple floors like say a generator is on the second floor and is pumping the boss.

13. Anything else you wish to share?: SE pls make more battle content. Put rewards (achievements) based on personal skill or team skill. Like clear Amaurot in X time, clear X with no deaths. Give us a reason to return to older content other than just cuz.
Also, Mentors, you are supposed to help people new and old with their issues. Not berate them. We've all been through those experiences at some point. Just being a supportive pillar in a party can help many feel relief in their potentially first instance tanking or first trial healing. Sure, they don't pay their sub but you never know, that newbie you help may one day a fellow team member in new content! Be excellent to one another!

Yes. I remember one instance where we had a new player tank and the healer mentor went above and beyond to help this tank know everything.

1. How long have you been playing?:

Ten years in October since 1.0's launch (although it was more 9 years from when I actually was able to play properly due to technical and billing issues at the start of 1.0 preventing me from playing regularly til January 2011), and for ARR, seven and a bit years from the Alpha test.

2. What server(s) do you live on?:

Originally Selbina and then Ridill in 1.0, and Ridill to my current home of Balmung in ARR (not including the now gone test servers used in the ARR Alpha and Beta tests of course).

3. Your character's race?:

Miqo'te Seeker of the Sun! Enki is and always has been a Sunseeker kittygirl! :3

3a. Do you have more than one favorite race? (Only applies to who fantaisa or have alts):

I have alts but they're mostly still all miqo'te (I do have a Midlander hyur girl who resembles me in real life and a wildwood elezen girl though). I rarely if ever play my alts though so it's moot I guess.

4. Any favorable glamour 'sets' you wear a lot?:

Yes! Spring Skirt and Archeoskin Boots are essential part of Enki's wardrobe. I also have the Riveria Dress as not just a 'casual' glamour for Enki but it's also her AST glam.

4a. Expanding on 4, what kind of glamours make you go "what the heck"?:

Any of the animal costumes.... especially the giant fat chocobo head... urrghhhh....

5. What's your main job and why?:

GLA/PLD. Traditonally I love healers more (and in past FF games, WHM especially), but I struggled maining WHM for years in FFXI and vowed I would try a tank role in the next FF game, and so I started FFXIV 1.0 as GLA, expanding into PLD when Jobs were added, and I continued as such into ARR. And it's a choice I'm happy with, as I can still protect and help people, while still being able to have survivability and give as good as I get! And besides, being a knight in shining armour just fits the Warrior of Light idea perfectly. Enki will be a free knight forever.

5a: Do you play more than one job?:

Sort of. I level all my Disciples of War and Magic and like to swap from time to time, but my main will always be GLA/PLD.

5b. That ONE job you want to pick up and "git gud" at?:

Not sure what this means, as all classes and Jobs are fairly easy to get the hang of as long as you take the time to actually learn them.

5c. Which job do you dislike and why?:

I have to agree with everyone who says BLU, it is an experiment that failed miserably, and really shouldn't have been bothered with as it just does not work, melding FFXI's BLU method of spell learning (specifically, have to be hit by the spell/ability/attack and then you only have a random chance of actually learning it, requiring multiple tries) into an independent content mechanic that no other Job or class has. And starts at level 1 despite having no base class, and virtually no weapons. It's just one big mess that really needs to be removed and started again from scratch. Sadly, Yoshi really missed the mark with it.

5d. If FF14 could have job from another game in the franchise, which would you want?:

There's not really any more Jobs I don't think that SE haven't touched on that could work or fit into FFXIV, given single player RPGs/strategy RPGs and MMORPGs have totally different design paradigms. Chemist might be an option, but I don't see how item use could be used as a mechanic without negatively impacting existing items (saying 'Mix' to make items is not really any different to having a mage make their own spells really, so it's not really an option.). So I don't really have any Job I would like to see, as my favourites are already in the game.

6. What kind of player do you call yourself (ex: Rper, casual, raider, social, crafter, all-rounder, etc)?:

Definetely super-Casual, with Rper and social on the side. I just don't care about doing anything 'endgame' or competitive anymore. I value my sanity and mental wellbeing too much.

7. What's the "typical day" for you when you log on (don't have to go into detail)?:

Check my 'maids' (retainers) ventures and see what items they've stolen this time, then set them to work, trade in any junk gear they've brought me back at 'Cash Converters' (the Company Quartermaster at the Adder's Nest) for GC Seals, then head off to Gold Saucer and do minicactpot (slapping the broker for running a fixed lottery more often than not ), then it's whatever I feel like doing for the rest of my day - usually involving daily or weekly Hunts, or doing the Challenge Log. Sometimes though I just like to fly around various zones just admiring the landscapes.

7a. Anything that you "must do", because it's "required" that makes you annoyed?:

Trials and dungeons for main scenario, specifically, trials and dungeons requiring a party to do, especially 8-person ones. I admit I'm not a very social person so I like to just play by myself or with my friends and family more often than not. At least the Trust system has allowed me to go through the msq on my own now, sort of.

8. Favorable parts of the game that make you happy?:

Seeing the various puns and references to past FF games and pop-culture in FATE names, quest titles and in dialogue and character/area/dungeon names and designs. It always brings a smile and a chuckle to my face when I recognize one.

8a. Least desirable parts that the game could be improved on?:

FATEs or quests that require you to access a certain point that have aggressive 'trash' mobs nearby that will always inevitably agro if you're nearby. It makes things so much more difficult and frustrating.

9. When you use the DF, how many times have you had a "bad experience", and what happened? (can be vague or skip this):

Thankfully it's been rather uncommon to me, but that's because I generally don't do content through DF if I can help it (and if I do I usually bring my bf or FC friends along as emotional support).

9a. Any pleasant experiences when using the DF?:

Many years ago back before the changes to SMN, I was in a DF party in Brayflox's Longstop (NM) as SMN and the party's healer was still very new and was learning her way (she was still CNJ). Accordingly, the party struggled as she and the tank kept dying, so I kept jumping in having to heal with Physick, culminating with me basically taking over as healer (summoning Titan-egi as backup and set on Stay), and really just trying to keep everyone alive with Physick (I Ressurected the healer as much as I could, but she kept mucking up and dying again just as quickly). Somehow we got through that dungeon, and I got three commendations for it too! Alas that just is no longer possible due to the many changes made to SMN, so that party still sticks in my mind even now.

9b. Any improvements you think the DF, in general, needs?:

Maybe make it cross-data-centre, as it could help filling parties on more quieter data-centres.

10. If you could have ONE QUESTION answered by SE's Developers, what would you ask them?:

Can you please add Aerith's attire and weapon from FFVII into the game please? I want her outfit so much!

11. Your favorite primal?:

Still Ifrit, as I just love the music so much and his battle is still rather straightforward, no real confusing mechanics or silly gimmicks like QTEs to do. And his theme is still awesome (Primal Judgement).

11a. Favorite NPC?:

I'd say Mr Garlond but my boyfriend would probably get upset (Enki's wife's jealousy towards Enki's silly schoolgirly crush on Cid is something of a running gag in my FC ), so instead I'll say BestAscian! (aka Emet-Selch). Goddess I hated Emet so much for everything he did and for being so damn insufferable... but.. I love him to bits too, he was such an amazing character.

11b. Your favorite mount?:

Legacy Chocobo and the Griffin. Legacy Chocobo because it's so unique and special (and completely unattainable to boot now!). But the griffin wins out as it suits Enki's backstory as being Ala Mhigan born and a knight (that and the griffin is just so well animated it looks so beautiful just flying around).

11c. Any certain fight(s) you like doing over and over?:

Battle on the Big Bridge (against Gilgamesh) is just so endlessly quotable and hilarious, and is just such a fun fight. (and amazing fanservice too!).

11d. How about a song you'd enjoy putting on repeat?:

At the moment, it's Mortal Instants, the Amaurot dungeon theme. That dungeon was just so amazing and the music only added to it. So yeah, really hooked on this now.

12. If you could have a house in any zone, where would you build it?:

Well, if Enki could she would retire back to Gridania amongst the trees, but her home is with her wife who resides in Kugane, so that's where she is now and probably will always be.

12a. What region do you find yourself AFKing the most?:

Gridania, specifically the Carline Canopy. It's so relaxing there and a welcome change of pace from busier cities like Ul'dah (much less chat spam and much less people around in general).

4. I have this one go-to glamour set, it's basically just a poncho and a pair of slacks, utterly mundane that I put on every job, but the glamour I like the most is my RDM glamour: A pointy hat, Plaguebringer Coat, Duelist's Breeches, and Ironwork Boots of Casting

1. How long have you been playing?:

Since Early Access for ARR, I wasn't even aware of XIV existing at the time so I missed out on that side of things, but I had a close group of friends at the time and they told me about ARR and how it was going to be amazing so I preordered, even got the Cait Sith minion though I never use it. Wish I could say I've been a constant participant but sadly that's not true, my friends kind of drifted and they all basically decided to go to other servers leaving me essentially alone, this was right around the time EX primals were coming out (the last dungeon I remember running was Copperbell HM, I collect slime-based minions). So I dropped it, never went back for years, I wound up getting back into things just before Shadowbringers dropped and I've been somewhat regular since then, just don't have the cash to keep a sub going AND put food on the table right now, probably I'll come back with 5.35 and get a Fantasia while I'm at it.

2. What server(s) do you live on?:

Cactuar, met a nice FC on it and it's been pretty cozy, though some of the prices can be a little staggering it's still a good server.

3. Your character's race?:

Currently it's Au Ra just so I could experiment with scales and facial markings but my real race is Viera, I just get frustrated with it because my main appeal in the game is dress-up and customization and with every new hair or armor set I just lose a tiny bit more hope that they'll ever fix it.

3a. Do you have more than one favorite race? (Only applies to who fantaisa or have alts):

FemRoe is also pretty good and I did like mine while I played her but Viera scratches my itch for being tall AND a beast person.

4. Any favorable glamour 'sets' you wear a lot?:

My current glamour is my favorite blending of sets and pieces, I really enjoy the 'Battle Mage' aesthetic of armored spellcasters and the Garleans have THE BEST armor aesthetic, before getting the Ratholos EX gloves and boots I was using the Garlean glamor bits you get during Stormblood. Absolute shame too because we're not getting Garlean themed gear UNTIL the Garlemald expansion (Devs said so themselves basically) and until then I have to deal with a constant barrage of witch hats and flowing gowns, total mood killer honestly when I check new gear and it's got a GIANT witch hat, I crave the WHM pieces so badly.

4a. Expanding on 4, what kind of glamours make you go "what the heck"?:

None in particular save for Naked/Bikini Tanks, I just feel like it's a waste of creativity and the glamour system to essentially go 'I don't want any clothes' instead of using the amazing armor pieces tank classes get access to.

5. What's your main job and why?:

Black Mage, been one since day one and I'll be one until the game dies and is recycled into a different MMO, I like caster classes a lot and the incredibly simple rotation for BLM and the kind of 'turret' play style it has meshes with me, I'm not good at memorizing rotations and my fingers/reaction times are awful at anything more complex.

5a: Do you play more than one job?:

Nope, never.

5b. That ONE job you want to pick up and "git gud" at?:

Dark Knight, but I can't play tank classes to save my life because of anxiety.

5c. Which job do you dislike and why?:

None.

5d. If FF14 could have job from another game in the franchise, which would you want?:

I know this is a kind of stupid/telling answer but Slayer from Tera, I liked that game because it was basically free and Slayer was a STUPIDLY EASY class to play, you had to worry about enemy positioning (higher damage at the back/rear) and it essentially boiled down to a very simple rotation, plus I like the aesthetic.

6. What kind of player do you call yourself (ex: Rper, casual, raider, social, crafter, all-rounder, etc)?:

Casual RPer, I like building my character and weaving a narrative and I do legitimately enjoy RPing, but I don't like the 'hardcore' always IC RPing, it's just not my jam and I rather like the semi-IC lifestyle, also I don't like doing challenging content, never have, it tickles that anxious funny bone deep in my brain. I'm probably not the worst player in existance, I can usually keep my astral clock going and I'm pretty good at timing my rotation and swaps from fire to ice and vice versa, I just forget a lot of the side stuff like triple cast, sure cast, and my ley lines, still haven't adjusted to those QUITE yet but I do use them when my simian brain remembers 'OH RIGHT THE CIRCLE!'

Just a 'me' thing probably.

7. What's the "typical day" for you when you log on (don't have to go into detail)?:

I pop on, check up on the FC, mill about looking at armor pieces from vendors and the MB to see if anything catches my fancy, then I usually just run the newest Alliance for some of the new gear/currency (if I feel like it that day) and otherwise I just run the Main Scenario roulette and the Alliance Raid roulette for tomes and because I enjoy that mindless content.

7a. Anything that you "must do", because it's "required" that makes you annoyed?:

Relic grinding, hate it.

8. Favorable parts of the game that make you happy?:

Alliance Raids, already said it but I LEGITIMATELY love them, they're easy, I don't feel any pressure whatsoever while doing them.

8a. Least desirable parts that the game could be improved on?:

A lot of the grindy bits.
