I created my account and logged in for the first time on 25/06/2014. So 6 years, 2 months, 2 weeks, 1 day. (with around 5.5K hours played, I took some short breaks over the years)

2. What server(s) do you live on?:
I play on Cerberus (I don't live there).

3. Your character's race?:
Au'ra.

3a. Do you have more than one favorite race? (Only applies to who fantaisa or have alts):
I do not fantaisa because I think it should be free & I do not play alts. However, apart from Au'ra I quite like Hyur.

4. Any favorable glamour 'sets' you wear a lot?:
Savage version of the current raid tier dyed in (usually) the opposite color. Currently I've put the edenchoir armor in black dyes and the weapons in white.

4a. Expanding on 4, what kind of glamours make you go "what the heck"?:
roegadyn in speedos.

5. What's your main job and why?:
PLD, It's also my main class I started with in WoW in 2004 and always prefered it the most.

5a: Do you play more than one job?:
No.

5b. That ONE job you want to pick up and "git gud" at?:
BLU.

5c. Which job do you dislike and why?:
BLU, When I first heard about it during the live letters Yoshi P said it would be a Solo job and I thought, perfect for me, then when it got released I came to the conclusion that you needed to make parties to do 90% of what BLU can do.

5d. If FF14 could have job from another game in the franchise, which would you want?:
Warlock.

6. What kind of player do you call yourself (ex: Rper, casual, raider, social, crafter, all-rounder, etc)?:
Raider.

7. What's the "typical day" for you when you log on (don't have to go into detail)?:
Usually in between raid patches: Log in, do roulettes or mount farms, log out.
During raid patches: Log in, do raid, log out.

7a. Anything that you "must do", because it's "required" that makes you annoyed?:
I used to dislike the MSQ when I first started because there were a lot and I just wanted to get to the endgame quick.

8. Favorable parts of the game that make you happy?:
When you beat the final raid boss of the tier after you've progged for a few weeks.

8a. Least desirable parts that the game could be improved on?:
Job identy that has been lost for the sake of balancing.

9. When you use the DF, how many times have you had a "bad experience", and what happened? (can be vague or skip this):
This used to be a very long time ago, but what frequently happened is when I saw wipes and people messing up stuff badly (also happens in the easy experts) I try to offer advice and help and I'm just greeted with being toxic elitist.
Since those moments I've removed the burger crown icon and now almost never talk and just silently kick or leave group myself and put people on blacklist. I'm having much more fun now and no more drama.

9a. Any pleasant experiences when using the DF?:
Not really, I do savage with static and DF is soly for the easy roulettes, they don't give me any joy or pleasure when you beat it since it's so easy.

9b. Any improvements you think the DF, in general, needs?:
None that I can currently think off.

10. If you could have ONE QUESTION answered by SE's Developers, what would you ask them?:
If they have any plans for a new up to dae, state of the art MMO with a new engine that doesn't have legacy PS3 spaghetti code in the near feature.

Shiva.

The original Minfilia.

Hard to say, I'm usually riding around on centaur Ramuh's back.

Shiva savage. And this is no joke, I honestly really liked that fight.

The new WOL primal song, I put it on repeat in my house hi-fi stereo.

In the empty void.

12a. What region do you find yourself AFKing the most?:
I usually tend to log out when I go AFK for a long period of time since I'm using a pretty beefy computer and it consumes quite some power. (I did actually test this with leaving a pretty steep req game running an entire month vs the next month when I logged off / quit the game when I stoped playing and the power consumption was noticibly lower the next month).
For 'normal' AFK periods or when I go bio or when I wait for PF to fill I usually stay in my house.

13. Anything else you wish to share?:
Nothing that I can think off, I may come back later and edit if I find something more to put here.

Played some in 1.X, but PC at the time couldn't handle the game. So 7 years (ARR launch) and some change.

2. What server(s) do you live on?:
Was originally on Wutai, then when servers changed put my legacy guy on Balmung. Later moved him to Coeurl. My main was born on Coeurl since friends starting at ARR launch couldn't go to legacy servers and no server transfers existed at the time.

3. Your character's race?: Legacy is a derplander, main Au Ra now :P

Several, but they get cycled in and out

Nah, nothing really surprises me with glams anymore.

RDM, because been my favorite FF job forever.

All rounder, I do what I want when I want. Tend to be lazy by myself, but I tend to do well going blind in content I've never cleared before (old or new). Never did savage though, never have time for a static to prog with.

Might chat with fc a bit if anyone's on, retainers, maybe a roulette or two

Not a fan of crafting, but it's certainly better than before I think.

Wish I wasn't a poor student when 1.0 launched. I enjoyed what I played (though it was after Yoshi-P fixed a bunch of stuff after the launch). Got the CE, onion helm, and legacy tattoo on my legacy guy at least, didn't play enough for the legacy chocobo or goobbue sadly.

About four and half years. I did start in ARR but only played for a short while due to not having time for the game. So I don't count that as part of my playtime.

I typically glam into sets that don't really look like healing gear. I'm a caster who wants to look like a physical dps. The exception to this are some fun glams with nier pieces.

None at all.

Scholar because it's the most fun healer I have ever played across all games I have tried.

As a main? no

Healers in general, but mainly sch.

I haven't even touched mch and the reason is stupid. I really hate how the lunchbox looks.

Not a job, but I'd love to see a blitzball based class like Wakka from FFX.

Somewhere between casual and midcore raider (casual hours, midcore attitude) and a crafter who is more like Ikea than anything else.

7. What's the "typical day" for you when you log on (don't have to go into detail)?:

Just chat with my wonderful fc peeps and chill doing random content, when I'm not raiding.

7a. Anything that you "must do", because it's "required" that makes you annoyed?:

I'm sure there is something but nothing springs to mind so it can't be too annoying.

8. Favorable parts of the game that make you happy?:

The msq, housing and the style of casual and raid content in this game.

8a. Least desirable parts that the game could be improved on?:

The housing system is in dire need of vast improvement. The content itself is very good but there are simply not enough plots in the game to meet the demands of the ever increasing population. SE either need to add a tremendous amount of wards or introduce a fully fledged instanced housing system.

9. When you use the DF, how many times have you had a "bad experience", and what happened? (can be vague or skip this):

I'm a pretty patient person. For me it's enough that people play good enough to beat the content. Less than 10% of DF experiences for me have been truly bad.

9a. Any pleasant experiences when using the DF?:

I enjoy when I see people compliment each other's glams, or when a new player is happy about seeing something cool.

9b. Any improvements you think the DF, in general, needs?:

For the love of god make it mandatory to have a job stone equipped for lvl 30+ content!

10. If you could have ONE QUESTION answered by SE's Developers, what would you ask them?:

I would want to know the real reason why the housing system is in such a mess. I have my theories, we all do. But SE have never explicitly detailed -why- things are how they are.

Hmmm no. I like a lot of fights but there aren't any I would choose to do on repeat.

The Goblet, where my fc house is.

I am very thankful for the existence of this game. I have met some of the most wonderful people in my life here, including my boyfriend who I have been living with for a few years. I have so many cherished memories made with precious people because of this game.

1. How long have you been playing?: I've been here since the Alpha version of 1.0 (which was in March/April of 2010).
2. What server(s) do you live on?: In 1.0, i started on a server called "Lindblum". This eventually merged with another server into Sargatanas and since i've established myself on that server and made a bunch of friends from all of the world (i'm from the EU myself), my main remained on Sargatanas (even though it was moved to an NA DC). But, in order to be able to raid in EU times, i decided to create an alt on an EU DC and cleared Eden Verse Savage on Cerberus. So, I basically live on both Sargatanas (Aether DC) and Cerberus (Chaos DC)
3. Your character's race?: Miqo'te
3a. Do you have more than one favorite race? (Only applies to who fantaisa or have alts): I have multiple alts, but every single one i play on a regular basis have the same appearance of my original character. After so many years, if feels... "wrong" to play as something else.
4. Any favorable glamour 'sets' you wear a lot?: The glamour set i've been wearing for the longest time, is the Serpent Elite set with minor tweeks like glasses instead of a crown, shorts instead of the leggings and different boots.



4a. Expanding on 4, what kind of glamours make you go "what the heck"?: Characters that wear the "2B Leggings" and nothing else... I know that it "expands" certain area's, but... Really? (^_^; )
5. What's your main job and why?: Depends on the character and the content i'm playing. My Sargatanas character uses WHM 99% of the time. My Cerberus characters mains DNC.

The reason as to why goes all the way back to 1.0. I started out as an Archer in 1.0. When they introduced Jobs in 1.21 i became a bard, but at the same time you had to buy your arrows as they were a consumable. Since i couldn't afford the arrows i should be using and couldn't craft them myself, i switched over to WHM, which became my main for the remainder of 1.2x and the start of 2.0.

PLD came into the mix when i joined my friends with the Binding Coil of Bahamut. They needed an 8th person and since i had we had to (re)learn the content, they figured i should try tanking it. After a long and arduous "learning" period, my main switched to PLD during remainder of ARR, Heavensward and Stormblood. However, the aggro battles during the 8-man trials, and the raids made me switch back to WHM.

WHM has been my "comfort / relaxation" job since the moment i picked it up, so it's my main again.

DNC came into the picture when i was joining a static for Eden Verse Savage. They needed a DPS and i wanted to play a job that had a lot of mobility, like BRD. However, the group already had a BRD, so i did another "Binding Coil of Bahamut" and picked an entirely new job to play with and learn Savage at the same time. I love playing DNC on an EU Server, so that has become my main on Cerberus.
5a: Do you play more than one job?: I play WHM most of the time, but since i have the tendency to level all jobs to 80, i play at least 1 job per role (PLD, WHM, DNC/BRD, RDM, SAM/NIN)
5b. That ONE job you want to pick up and "git gud" at?: I already play a lot of jobs during each expansion and i'm confident enough with the jobs i play on a regular basis. But, i still lag behind on parsers, due to not being consistent enough. So, basically, for me it's always a road to improve myself for each job i play and i'm not easily satisfied with my own performance.
5c. Which job do you dislike and why?: SCH. I simply can't get the hang of it and end up burning through my MP. Might have something to do with not trusting the fairy.
5d. If FF14 could have job from another game in the franchise, which would you want?: I guess i'd like to see a Beastmaster in FFXIV, which is partially similar to WoW. With that i mean, that i'd like the class to be able to tame creatures from all over the world and use them as my main source of DPS by giving commands. So, basically a "SMN" type of job with 3 different type of pets, but with more diverse appearances.

On the other side, SMN seems to move away from the egi system and we don't want to re-introduce a system like that with a new job. So, after thinking about it, being able to summon a ("demi"-)pet or being able to shapeshift into an animal (giving you full control over it), would make more sense in FFXIV.
6. What kind of player do you call yourself (ex: Rper, casual, raider, social, crafter, all-rounder, etc)?: I'd place myself somewhere between a causal raider and a midcore raider. I really like running savage, but i'm not a first world raider or join up with random people in order to clear it. I prefer a static which runs the raid a few times a week for 1 or 2 lockouts per session.
7. What's the "typical day" for you when you log on (don't have to go into detail)?: Usually i clear the Beastmen (Pixie & Dwarf) Dailies, run the daily EX Roulette, get the weekly clears on the latest 24-man raids, finish the weekly NPC Deliveries for my Crafters and level any job i've yet to cap at 80. I do this (except getting every battle job to 80) on both my Sargatanas and Cerberus character. With every new raiding tier, i clear those as fast as i can, so that i can jump into the Savage difficulty. Since we cleared Eden Verse Savage, i'll be going for the Borzya Front when it's released.
7a. Anything that you "must do", because it's "required" that makes you annoyed?: Not really. I basically like everything i do in the game. Even running the same dungeon over and over again in order to level or collect gear. It doesn't feel like a forced "requirement".
8. Favorable parts of the game that make you happy?: The main appeal of the game for me, would be the MSQ. Next is the Dungeons, Trials and raids. Finally the ability to level and switch to any job on 1 character.
8a. Least desirable parts that the game could be improved on?: There are way too many things the game could improve on. But, that would be unrealistic. I welcome any type of content the game has to offer, even if it's something i won't be investing time in any time soon. The thing i would like to see improved, are the client/server side connection related things. The game in general feels nice, but it's not as responsive as other MMO's i've seen. Because i've been around for so long, i've adjusted to the "latency". I've learned how to use minimal movement and when to move, in order to get that GDC or spell in. But, since i play on 2 different datacenters, my timing will be off every once and a while, because i've adjusted to either the NA or the EU DC latency.

Other then that, i'd like to see an update on the texture quality used for the game. I'm not complaining when it comes to the general quality of the game, but at times, the textures can be pretty jarring.
9. When you use the DF, how many times have you had a "bad experience", and what happened? (can be vague or skip this): Most of my experiences are either rather uneventful or very pleasant. I think in all of the duties i've been in, i've only been kicked once for no reason and perhaps a nasty comment or two. But, they are very rare.

Thinking back, i think i've only been frustrated about people not participating in content (mostly the 24-man raids), people ignoring mechanics and blaming others for it, WHM's who have been spamming Medica 2 or that my own performance was lacking (which was more common during Savage (T_T ) ). However, these are only minor things, which i don't really classify as "Bad experiences".
9a. Any pleasant experiences when using the DF?: I've always thought is that "fun is what you make of it". Lighthearted conversations during a duty, joke about, make fun of your own mistakes when they happen and just have a good time (even when no one is talking).
9b. Any improvements you think the DF, in general, needs?: Not really. It's fine the way it is in my opinion.
10. If you could have ONE QUESTION answered by SE's Developers, what would you ask them?: Shadowbringers has been a great expansion storywise and the throwback to the Crystal Tower was something i really enjoyed. If you could revisit another part of the FFXIV world / lore, for instance the 7th Umbral Calamity, which one would you like to revisit?
11. Your favorite primal?: Oooof... That's a difficult one. Each primal/trial they've released gets better and more interesting overall. I'm torn between Suzaku, Tsukiyomi and Hades. Mostly for their aesthetics and their lore.
11a. Favorite NPC?: Y'shtola has been growing on my with each expansion. I especially love her sassyness in the more recent content.
11b. Your favorite mount?: My personal Company Chocobo. Kwehzacotl.

2. What server(s) do you live on?: Now Ragnarok (EU) but I started the game on Masamune (EU)

3. Your character's race?: I change every few months but usually revert back to my lala at some point

3a. Do you have more than one favorite race? (Only applies to who fantaisa or have alts): Lala > Roe > Mikote male > the rest

4. Any favorable glamour 'sets' you wear a lot?: Coeurl beach wears and a friendship plume, Lala starter outfit + gobelin cap or chocobo body + gobelin cap... so many cute stuff

4a. Expanding on 4, what kind of glamours make you go "what the heck"?: People still using these weird 2B boots that make your feet look disgusting...

5. What's your main job and why?: SCH/WHM I love healing. Played the 3 jobs as main at some point but now the closest to a main (the one I try to get weapons first) is WHM

5a: Do you play more than one job?: Yes, usually take the WHM/SCH slots in parties, then DNC for fun and PLD for simple things

5b. That ONE job you want to pick up and "git gud" at?: I picked up all the jobs I care about, not leveling any melee jobs.

5c. Which job do you dislike and why?: never touched SAM but usually dislike melee DPS jobs. I also dont get SMN.

6. What kind of player do you call yourself (ex: Rper, casual, raider, social, crafter, all-rounder, etc)?: Semi-casual. I like challenge but only focus on things I have time for.

7. What's the "typical day" for you when you log on (don't have to go into detail)?: Just couple of hours. Get in , say hi to FC, do one expert roulette, do beast tribes and do weeklies (Nier raid) and that's about it. After the rest is based on time. Do ply a bit more on weekends.

8a. Least desirable parts that the game could be improved on?: Token / item system is wonky, glamour system is wonky, chocobo system feels outdated, GC is outdated... healers are in a downward spiral... lot of things don't feel well-maintained nor fresh

GNB. I’m an fangirl for gunblades and it’s the one tank that feels comfortable to me.

Chemist/Apothecary as a healer. Everything else I love is here.

Casual. I’m here more for the story and company.

I usually just run some dailies and progress MSQ.

It feels more like an FF game than most recent FF games.

Only a few. Honestly, I like the GMs here precisely because they are so good about stuff.

That’s most experiences.

An easier to use “clear all” button and settings access for controller users.
