I don't really have any glamours that I wear for too long, I jump on new glamours and gear if I like them and wear until a new thing comes around. I do use Glade Slops/Spring Bottoms + Raptorskin Boots/Adept's Thighboots for most of my glams

4a. Expanding on 4, what kind of glamours make you go "what the heck"?:
Almost naked, no pants ones and strange gear combinations

5. What's your main job and why?:
GNB for a tank (cuz gunblades), WHM for a healer (they're the most fun atm imo), MCH for DPS (cuz guns)
I don't really have a main job per se but these are the ones I play the most atm. I get bored playing the same class and swap them when I feel like it

Ninja maybe? I always get lost in their skills

Lack of proper physics, capes and Viera hairstyles. Also a lot of areas feel empty and lifeless

There were plently, from fails to toxicity. Hard to recall one particular case

White Mage, I love healing.

Yeah, I intend to level all of them in time.

Astromancer, looks complicated but fun.

Scholar. I can´t really get the hang of healing with it.

Beast tamer from FFTA. Being able to capture monsters and make them aid you.

Casual, I mostly play for the story and to hang out with friends.

Currently I´m going through the MSQ with various characters, one to play with a friend and another with my husband. If not, I do roulettes to level Jobs up.

7a. Anything that you "must do", because it's "required" that makes you annoyed?:
I always resent not being able to do the coils of Bahamut to experience that part of the story.

8. Favorable parts of the game that make you happy?:
The story, no contest. Other than that, the social aspect like being able to marry other players.

8a. Least desirable parts that the game could be improved on?:
More open world feel. There are way too many loading screens.

9. When you use the DF, how many times have you had a "bad experience", and what happened? (can be vague or skip this):
Only once, running Sastasha levelling GLA up I was a bit undergeared and the healer decided to stop healing me and boot me just before the end boss.

9a. Any pleasant experiences when using the DF?:
Not any particular one. But having only one bad experience is good in itself.

9b. Any improvements you think the DF, in general, needs?:
I think it´s good enough.

9. When you use the DF, how many times have you had a "bad experience", and what happened? (can be vague or skip this):

Not many thankfully, the worst experience was a Crystal Tower run where B didn't get the memo or got lost or something during the Atmos lanes and they legitimately could not seem to grasp the concept of 'at least 4 people need to stand on the thing' for a solid like 10 minutes despite them having like 6 people. Tank and Healer were up smacking the Atmos (for some reason) and they had a DRG that couldn't stand on the circle for some ungodly reason and refused to pull any of the adds back to the circle to get nuked, it was a shit show, for some reason while yelling at them to get on the circle someone from B started going off about someone on C being a blue parse so they should shut up. No bearing whatsoever, but this guy on B was ADAMANT that being a blue parse meant the person on C was a bad player and that they were to blame for B not standing on the circle, and the petty arguing carried on to the final boss, not very fun, I'd rather go back to smashing my face on Titan HM's fists than do that run again.

9a. Any pleasant experiences when using the DF?:

Almost all of them.

9b. Any improvements you think the DF, in general, needs?:

None I can think of.

10. If you could have ONE QUESTION answered by SE's Developers, what would you ask them?:

What has CURRENTLY been developed in regards to a solution for Viera/Hrothgar and why is it not released yet?

Not to throw shade but it's been a year, they should surely have SOMETHING cooked up, even if it's just a couple hairstyles some underpaid intern has managed to jerry rig into working, ANYTHING at all beyond 'we got nothing done' should be out by now, instead it's silence and some small part of me thinks they're holding whatever they have developed to their chest.


11. Your favorite primal?:

I love Bahamut, his implementation and role in the lore/world is so strong, I still remember the first time I watched the cutscene where he breaks out of Dalamud and being blown away, delving into the Coil and seeing his tattered barely alive remains buried deep underground was REALLY cool. I'll never forget when I first did them (it was recent when the content was vastly outdated, my anxiety even at release kept me out of them in fear I'd ruin it or something) and you get to stand on the palm of his hand or in the final stretch when the blast shield windows open and you get to see Bahamut's still beating heart connected to his pretty much decapitated head...

Emet-Selch/Hades, by and far the single most enjoyable villain/NPC since release, there's not even a slight comparison or a second place to me to the degree that I'm not actually looking forward to whatever comes next because honestly Zenos is BORING and the psycho-sociopath Ascian butt-buddy he has is just as BORING. Zenos was the epitome of a game/dev saying 'NAH YOU CAN'T FIGHT HE'S TOO POWERFUL' when I honestly feel like I could fight and win, I have 0 doubts if his stupid fights didn't have 'you lose' mechanics in them people would've beaten him within the first week of Stormblood's release, hands down.

You know what's the most common reaction when Emet-Selch/Hades shows up again to save us during the fight with Elidibus? Cheering, crying, and usually some hype screaming.

You'll never see that for Zenos.

11b. Your favorite mount?:

Currently Kirin, previously it was the magic chair, and if I get enough money my new favorite will be the whale mount, I love whales and it's legitimately an awesome design that seems genuinely comfy to relax on.

11c. Any certain fight(s) you like doing over and over?:

Not a particular fight but I do enjoy the Crystal Tower Alliance Raids, all three of them, they're a blast from the past.

11d. How about a song you'd enjoy putting on repeat?:

The Alexander theme, I dunno if it has a different title but it's the theme for Alexander, in particular the like remix version in the Twinning boss fight with 'NOT-Alexander'.

12. If you could have a house in any zone, where would you build it?:

Probably and odd answer but somewhere near the Burning Wall in Thanalan OR in the Crystal Tower itself, the First Crystal Tower, the Source Crystal Tower has kind of boring and drab scenery to be honest.

12a. What region do you find yourself AFKing the most?:

Eulmore, no shame in it but I sit around in the Strip Club there when not doing other things, it's just... a good place to relax.

13. Anything else you wish to share?:

I sincerely hope the upcoming relic steps AREN'T a horrific grind, I don't get why but a lot of people seem to be fully on board with the relics being these grindfest trophies and not a fun little gimme to the casual player who doesn't want to raid but does want a nice sparkly weapon, though hopefully not as mindless as the first step was. I liked the story and the quest, it was neat, but doing a single piece of content and getting the relic isn't what I had in mind, something more like the first relic where you had to do a couple pieces of hard content and do some open-world boss battles (the Chimera was a lot of fun, at least it was for me.)

I hate it when people don't know how to play their classes at all. Like free-style DPS or clueless tank, etc.

I love it when seeing people go out of their way and use the skill to adjust to another person's mistake. Especially from tank and DPS.

Nothing comes to mind, playing MMORPGS for so long is pretty desensitizing to goofy, flashy glams.

WHM because its easy and relaxing. I've been playing it since I first started and haven't stopped.

I've picked up dancer for my preferred DPS and Gunbreaker for my tank! Though I still need lots of practice on both.

I haven't played very many FF games....I hear lots of talk about beastmasters, I think as a premise it could be interesting! Though, the effort spent might be better off improving SMN.

Casual all-rounder. I like doing a bit of everything but don't focus on one thing at a time, rather just letting my whims take me on.

Log in, maybe play a little song with BRD performace to wake myself up. Look in the part finder for anything going on or hop into the diadem for some gathering. From there it's whatever I feel like in the moment!
7a. Anything that you "must do", because it's "required" that makes you annoyed?:
I don't view anything as such. If I want something bad enough then I'll do whats needed to get it, and if not then I won't do it. I've learned to always check up on myself to make sure I'm having fun, or enjoying how I'm spending my time. If not then it's time to do something else.
8. Favorable parts of the game that make you happy?:
Jumping into a new dungeon or trial on patch day, when no one knows the mechanics and learning them together are the happiest moments to me.
8a. Least desirable parts that the game could be improved on?:
The repetitive formula! I know that if it ain't broke don't fix it is a saying the FFXIV team live by but I'd like to see a little more departure, more experimentation. That aside I'd like cutscene animation to be better, and for the player character to have more active roles and animations! This is alot of work considering all the different races and classes but other MMOS seem to manage even some sort of minimum here. All the WOL seems to do in most cases is unsheathe weapon and frown.

1. How long have you been playing?:

I have held a subscription constantly for Square's Final Fantasy MMOs since Autumn 2003 when FFXI was released for the PS2 States' side. I did not play FFXIV during 1.0, because the laughably promised PS3 version of that beautiful game never landed. I'm not a PC sort of man. I would gladly have played through 1.0, and I have many friends who did. I only recently let my FFXI sub lapse in 2019, due to my CC expiriing, and me having no reason to go back, since I completed its last storyline in 2018.

Seven full years now for FFXIV, since Early Access of 2.0. It didn't really hook me at first, because my heart wasn't in it, but the gameplay kept me around until the hook caught me.

2. What server(s) do you live on?:

Excalibur and Sargatanas. I've a history of living on both since EA, due to trying to follow my ex-lover and rekindle our romance. It didn't pan out, but I stumbled into a nice FC whose company I very much enjoy, so I keep a character fully equipped on Sargatanas at all times for them. My main is Excalibur. Occasionally I make alts on other servers, but no other servers have really caused me to stay for too long, cept for Balmung for a 7 month or so stint where I tried out serious RP, ERP, and all that hoo-hah.

3. Your character's race?:

Highlander Hyur - Male. My first choice and the choice I gravitate back to when I tire of the other races. I've also spent considerable time as Roegadyn Male and Au Ra Male.

3a. Do you have more than one favorite race? (Only applies to who fantaisa or have alts):
No, but I did like Xaela enough to have my main be one for about 2.5 years.


4. Any favorable glamour 'sets' you wear a lot?:
Late Allagan Aiming set, Proto Ultima Mesh, and Anemos duelist's set. I'm always inventing new healer glamours, and I generally come up with unique glams for each character that I play.

4a. Expanding on 4, what kind of glamours make you go "what the heck"?:
Extremely flamboyant ones. The kinds that are like, over the top. You know, a character with like pink hair with turquoise highlights wearing a thong and an open shit, but then full metal gauntlets, all hot pink, of course. The kind of glams, that in my opinion, make your character look stupid, by making them stick out like a sore thumb.

5. What's your main job and why?:
All eight melee jobs and RDM. I like being up close and personal. This used to include MCH when it still had Blank, and then when it needed to use Flamethrower to cap gauge for Wildfire window. But I love pretty much every job. My friends consider me to be a tank main, because that is the role that I put them all to shame in, and some of them are quite good at the game.

5a: Do you play more than one job?:
Yes. I'm quite active on any job that I take to max level. The only time in the game's history that this extended to all jobs was Heavensward. It will be the case again in Shadowbringers, once I finish my LP, I intend to go for the Amaro mount.

5b. That ONE job you want to pick up and "git gud" at?:
I am good at every job that I play. The game comes easily to me, because I have played it for so long, and I always take my gaming seriously. My BLM play is always a little rough compared to everything else. It's the job I have the least affinity for, barring Dancer. I have not yet touched Dancer.

5c. Which job do you dislike and why?:
Currently, I don't like Dancer. Not for its gameplay, I can't really comment on that. Its animations on the other hand are so gaudy and cover up the monster. It's almost enough to make me wish I could censor animations by job.


5d. If FF14 could have job from another game in the franchise, which would you want?:
Mystic Swordsman/Rune Fencer from FF5. Rune Fencer is the name/flair they gave it in FFXI, and I've love for it to show up in XIV as a dual sword wielding DPS with elemental spellblade WSes.

6. What kind of player do you call yourself (ex: Rper, casual, raider, social, crafter, all-rounder, etc)?:
Mentor.

7. What's the "typical day" for you when you log on (don't have to go into detail)?:
Daily Hunts, Beastmen Dailies, Tomestone roulettes on my main, EXP roulettes on my LP alt. Currently after that, if I have time, recording storyline and related battle gameplay on my LP alt for my LP.

7a. Anything that you "must do", because it's "required" that makes you annoyed?:
I feel compelled to upgrade my gear, despite not really needing to. This means capping tomes/grinding hunts in some form.

8. Favorable parts of the game that make you happy?:
Dungeons and PUGing Extremes. Any time I can get my friends in on those are exceptionally fun.

8a. Least desirable parts that the game could be improved on?:
Disconnecting during solo run Deep Dungeons = worse than getting kicked in the nads. Change it! The NA data center PF... ok that's a player driven issue, but my god.

9. When you use the DF, how many times have you had a "bad experience", and what happened? (can be vague or skip this):
Three or four times a year usually. Generally happens in lower level dungeons. Just random bullshit. The occasional kick by a couple because I don't play the way they want. The occasional healer butts heads with the tank over a disagreement about pull size or using sprint.

9a. Any pleasant experiences when using the DF?:
Plenty. Funny meme style name characters living up to their namesake. Getting all 7 comms from a clutch Tsukuyomi normal mode kill recently that was recorded due to being for my LP alt. The occasional, "Oh my god, your character is so hawt, doki doki" from complete strangers.

9b. Any improvements you think the DF, in general, needs?:
Give the person getting kicked a vote in the vote kick proceedings to take away couples' authority.

10. If you could have ONE QUESTION answered by SE's Developers, what would you ask them?:
Do any of you play the game and participate in the official forums off the record? Is one of you walking amongst us as an equal?

Oooh, a toughie! Probably Edgen's Gate Titan right now, but maybe Shinryu Extreme for all time fave currently.

Ooh, another toughie! Hmm... it's a toss up between Hien and Alisae. Hien has this dry humor and subtle wit that the playerbase doesn't really pick up on for some reason, preferring to portray him as a himbo. His english VA really sells the subtlety too. Alisae is just... best girl. Unironicaly, her english VA is great, but also she's just got the best personality and is my favorite lady among the NPCs.

The Skyslipper from Titan Savage. 4 person mount, hovercraft FF4 reference sorta thing, and just looks cool.

I've never gotten tired of Titan HM, Ridorana Lighthouse, Shinryu Ex, Halicarnassus NM/Savage, Exdeath Savage, Tsukuyomi, Turn 13, Turn 9, Turn 5, Turn 4, and Steps of Faith.

Any zone? Hmm. Likely the Ruby Sea at the bottom of the ocean. If not there, then The Lochs overlooking the southern canyon.
