This thread title is the most accurate title possible. You don’t understand that people don’t care. And yet it’s an easy concept to grasp.
Maybe a less diplomatic way:

• People don’t care if you think you don’t make enough profit.
• You care about the market, but the market doesn’t care about you.
• People don’t care what your goal is.

Oh and by the way, you manipulating the price of raw mats is ok, but other lowering the price of what you sell isn’t? It's an awesome mental gymnastics you’re doing here. It looks like you don’t care about other doing profit too. wink! wink!

And I do it, if the price is way too low. Otherwise, if we're talking raw materials, I normally force the price down, down, down, and then buy, leaving them looking silly when I up the prices again, and they are out, because they went into the market with just a couple of hundred of them, while I never go in with less than 2 full stacks.
