I give up on this community. It's like you guys either don't want to earn money, don't want others to make money, don't give a rats ass and just arbitrarily set prices, or don't have the intellect to understand how to trade.

No you absolutely don't grasp what markets is about, markets is competetion, if want to sell extreme amounts at a lower cost than you to be benefit the customer I would and will, I would see not interest in undercutting you by 1 gil... I would just undercut but 15-20%, to make the sale go fast... if you end buying it up, I would just keep on putting up at that price to eventually win the market by competetion... also it is not to be cared about... just because YOU set a price does not mean it is the right one... if I sell stacks of 99% I sure give a huge discount to let them people take them things off the market for me for their personal use, but I also put up stacks of 10 for a much more steep price and it sells easy that way too as often people don't want to pay for a full stack more than what per item the small stack cost.

Trust me I earn tonnes of gil in this game, tonnes of it... I actually don't know what I am going to use them for either, first I am able to move items fast off my retainers with sharp prices and offers most can't refuse... I seel the same item for 5K and 8K on two different retainers as well, to be able to cater for those that just need a little and dont mind to pay more... and the rest for a good discount for those that need it in huge amounts.

My guess is, that you are burning yourself in with items, because you keep buying up haiving a thing margain of profit, while you pay the ones who sell cheapers house.

Actually, no. At times I have 4000+ items, but they will sell, sooner or later, if you have patience. And patience is what gives you the largest profit, over time. Those people that have 200, 300, 400, even 1000 million, do you think they got it buy dumping stuff all the time? They found niches, maintain those niches, and sell at a regular pace.

Them people, would be more bothered about moving their items faster through the system rather than having to wait all the time, this does not mean that as soon as someone undercut them that they will undercut or buy up the items themself, because the gain would be that they are next in line anyway to sell their items... and also their would be more profit in gathering/acquireing the items for the next batch, than spending the entire time sitting watching the market boards.

If you have retainers full and you never sell anything, then you are not having any profit at all, it gotta move so you can keep refilling the stock for sell... day after day after day..

Sometimes when I switch to a new market... I simply just dump prices down so i just get the costs it took me to make/acquire X items or just only 10%... if everyone follows I just buy up the entire market and stay in it a little bit longer, because I need to movemarket for a more lucrative market... and need my retainers emptied fast so can make gil on something else, and that is done to make space quick for something else... key factor is, you keep selling items you cover the losses when you write off old products at a reduced rate and add new ones for sell.
