    New player seeking guidience

Hey everyone new player started about a month and a half ago... Picked tank - leveled a paladin on one server then switched server's to one with the road to 70 buff and rolled a warrior... I like the warrior I'm shit to finish the heavensward msq but I'm kinda wanting to try out a dark knight... But thinking I should finish off the msqs for the main game first... So pretty much wondering what I should do. Finish msq as warrior or roll another job (dark knight )and catch up on msq with new job?

    Thank you

    Regards, Regronk.

P.s. I hope this is in the right forum

That is entirely up to you. If you want to try a new job, go for it. There's no right or wrong way to play or level. Just do what you want.

I'm just more of an end game player, and curious what job would be better for getting there faster and being able to find groups and or raid teams faster. Lol

End game content in this game is gated by 2 factors. One, you need to level up(ok, i know this isnt news to anyone). But two and more important, is you need to run the MSQ up to the point that endgame is unlocked. The fastest way to get there is to take one class and go go go. And in general, every group and raid needs 1 or 2 tanks. With that being said, having the versatility to switch to another class can be a large benefit. A group that already has a warrior might not need you, but if you can swap to DRK(or PAL/GNB) to fill their other tank slot thats a major plus. Even more so if you can also play a dps or healer and thus cover more then one role for the group.

With all that said, id say to go for it. Unlock DRK and play with it a little. It starts from 30 so it wont take as long to level. And you still have your road to 70 buff. And you might not have known this, but you have your armory buff as well. Any class that isnt your highest level gets the armory bonus exp. Combine that with tanks having short dungeon ques, and you could have DRK caught up a lot quicker then you think. And if it turns out you dont like it, you dont need to keep doing it.

You wont find much difference in speed since all 3 jobs are tanks, I suggest to pick Drk up to see how it plays and then pick the one you like the best. However how they play now is not indicative of how they play during end game, so you might find yourself regreting your option, its superficial but id say pick what looks cooler to you for now. At some point youll probably level them all up.

I remember swapping classes a lot. Having the ones where they are always helps with coming back to them, if you so feel. You are free to do as you feel, the only negatives are pausing your MSQ which is the main line to unlock most of things, or unlocking quests to unlock additional things, that being the main thing only after certain MSQ part will you get quests that introduce you to raid, alternative end game alternative whatever content and so on. Nothing stops after the lvl 15 point and happenings from just... doing the MSQ all of sudden as different class. Even the MSQ has some parts where other characters do this, kinda. Miner y-

You'd want some definitive answers but mostly people always here recommend you to play what you wish. I may hate the changes my class especially has had over the 2.0 to now, but one thing I generally could say is that now there is not even "If you are on console and gamepad, avoid..." - that has been mostly addressed through class skill setups and I am only assuming they did the same for other classes as they did to SCH. ... I do not love it but even that element I would not bring up no more, though I am sure some classes work better/easier than others.

Also shout outs for starting in my original world. I love that place, I kinda wish it is no less... Joe Rogan than before, but, it was also somewhat obnoxious too. I hope Coeurl is as lit as it always was. Lost about all of my contacts as everyone else moved around also.
