Thread: You need to give up on XI-2

This is not to start a fight with anyone but just to make some people here realize something.

I get that a lot of you love XI, i myself have great memories from it. But you need to understand that this game was never intended to be XI-2. Yes it has similar races and world but that it is because the same people did it and IMO they just lacked imagination.

Yes i agree with all the people saying that this game would have been better if it was XI-2, there is no doubt about that as XIV sucked big time. The game does have it's issues and still a lot to fix but everytime we encounter a problem, we should use our head to find an originals solution instead of just quoting a feature from XI. Even if the game could benefit from features taken from XI, there is still tons of ways to make this game better.

If you rather play XI or rather have XI features then features original to XIV then just play XI. You don't see me in WOW or AION or wtv other mmo's forums asking the devs to turn it into another game? If i don't like what it is then i just don't play it.

When the next S-E MMO comes out in 10 years, will you still ask for XI-3, or XIV-2? Do you want to play the same game forever?

Is the way XI made the only possible way to make an MMO? Of course not, don't be lazy and just try to come up with your own ideas and help make this game what XIV should have been and not a shadow of the past.

11 was not influenced by the players in the way that 14 has been,
everyone thinking they have a right to petition and fix 14
With this, we get all these noob players thinking they have a Right to be heard because they are paying for a game.

I played 11 for 6 years and was happy when there was an update. When MMM was weak, I waited, and it got fixed. When mana burn stopped being great, I lvled brd to get in on the tp burn merit pts.
With AV open now in 14 I had to lvl mnk to 50 to get in on the speed runs.

Just play the games you like and stop thinking you (everyone) need to be heard.

Although I'm not sure why Green_and_a_Half is attacking the OP, aren't you both saying the same thing ?
