That's not their excuse. That's our excuse. They have released plenty of hairstyles that clip, and the current trend is one long hairstyle per expansion. If that trend continues we will probably get it late 5.4, but more likely 5.5. The longer hairstyles are just way more difficult to implement. We have to remember that SE and FFXIV are very aesthetic (even to the point of prioritizing it over practicality); they will want a new long hairstyle to not only look good, but also function at the bare minimum, as well as the other long hairstyles in the game.

Patience.

As for the rest of the patch... meh. Which is the typical reaction I have to patches within a patch. That doesn't make it a bad patch or anything; it just has very little that interests me. I will enjoy going back to the Diadem as it is the more fun way to grind scrips. I have found out that crafting the same recipes over and over and over and over and over again is just something that I cannot do. I like to craft items like food, medicines, upgrades to gear, and glamours. I absolutely cannot stand crafting mindlessly for currency or a rank. Especially when I have other grinds going on.

So they actually made it harder to get materials as the monsters slain with the auger only give 5-20 items instead of 10-30 like in phase 2.

Why, I haven't the foggiest clue.

I'm not a fan of the hairstyle either. It'd be better to get one obviously feminine hairstyle and one obviously masculine hairstyle with each new content patch to appeal to a broader number of players. I'm tired of the 'unisex' aesthetics.

Yes, unisex hairstyles are the dull "middle." The one that has no flavor and end up looking like the rest of the short hairstyles. This hairstyle in particular looks like so many of the ones we got in Heavensward.
Interesting how we easily used to get 2 hairstyles in the past and now we're down to maybe 1 per patch, and that's a big maybe now.

Suprised that the tome weapon upgrade can be bought already, but also a welcome surprise.
Hair is... Fine, wish there were more long hair options.

Modders actually put that hair on a Viera probably about half a month ago now lol
I just love looking at things that modders are capable of compared to what SE gives us. I especially love the amount of old and new hairstyles they were able to put on both Viera and Hrothgar.

Actually not a big fan of that hair and my Viera is only an alt character but it's still extremely dissapointing to see yet another hair added for everyone but the two races that haven't received an update since ShB release.
