    Armoire and 100% items

In the post it states that the gear must be @ 100% condition to be stored- this makes the armoire pretty crappy for those of us who don't have time to level crafting jobs. It already takes me a day or two to get an item repaired just so I can sell it- so it's useless if I've used a piece of gear once and need to store it real quick so I have inv. space for a raid.

Can the armoire at least store items @99% so I can pay the NPC to fix it? I don't like having to /sh in Uldah or hope some random person comes along just to use this feature.

I think it stems from a technical stand point.

The armoire is basically just a check list, so it's not programmed to remember anything other than a "yes or no" for each storable item. It uses less memory if all the items are at 100%.

    HE'S ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!..

except, the reason that it Must be 100% is because placing the item in the storage actually destroys it, which is how they save on memory. Then when you want it back, the game just makes you a new one. If you had placed in a broken one you could exploit and never have to pay for repairs.

Most event items can be repaired by a craft below level 10, with the exception of a few. Don't forget that. Even if you've never leveled them, you can still fix them.

If you're storing these items, you'll probably only need to repair a bunch only once, so put up a respectable amount for repairs and hang out in a well-traversed area (Ul'dah somewhere) and it won't take long... assuming people still carry around G1 dark matter, that is.

eruntalo is right though, you can probably repair most of it yourself.

How did i know someone would complain about this, as said above, a level 1 craft can repair a lot of the items. You might have to level to 10 if u want to repair all the way to level 20. Oh no!

I was more so thinking about the AF gear I have- and the new AF weapons/Primal Weapons, etc. If it's a matter of repairing a level 1 event gear it's not a problem. And would it eat an excessive amount of more memory to add a 3 variable operation to the Armoire? YES 100%, YES 99%, NO.

Crafting is such a time intensive process, and I barely have enough time as it is to play- so unless I leave my PC on with my character in Uldah with repair flag (and only the gear I have equipped) it's rare that I'll get my gear repaired after it's use.

Like I said, I don't mind paying 5k to the NPC for repairs. Or maybe have the NPC repair non-tradable non-sellable gear to 100% even. But I'm not really going to be able to use the new feature which is why I wanted to make a mention.

^do you not have any friends that are crafters? You could also shout for crafting if need be.....or even ise the search function to find someone w the appropriate job/level and kindly ask them to repair your gear.

I get what you are saying, but then again storage is for storage, not really for come and go "mog safe" style. On a lighter note, primal weapons are not storable, so you don't have to worry about finding a crafter to repair those~~

if you are getting primal weapons and the like, I assume you are in a linkshell, and linkshells undoubtadly have some crafters, they must be able to repair your gear, it takes me about 5 minutes max to get repairs, not days.
