Party Finder

Lately I just seem to either had a run of bad luck or Party Finder is getting worse. I just seem to get one bad party after another, and these are farming parties.

Unreal trials people can't even get positions right, and these are reclear parties, and then people rush to start without everyone knowing their positions.

Hades Ex I spent four hours in multiple farming parties every time wiping to meteors, I didnt see one clear. I always now set the ilv to 490, which has meant better parties.

I dread to think what farming SoS ex is like.

Has anyone else noticed that party finder has gotten worse? Or is it just bad luck?

job performance will vary according to player skill. all types out there. it's not party finder that is bad it is the players that are bad. not much to be done about it. you roll the dice if you pug.

Mix of both. Really when you pug you're putting yourself at the mercy of others who you have no idea what they know and how they play. Extremes and Savages, espically, can have more then one stragity to them and conflicts can occur.

Part of it is that those who are top of the top have already done it, they don't hang around to keep doing it once they have it. So that removes the top chunk. Though the top chunk actually remove themselves with static. So static, and then the top of the random, both removed and done. So what's left are the good but slower people who didn't finish yet, and the rest. Eventually it'll be down to just those who need carrying, and a few bright stars to do that work.

This is a good idea tbh. People fall into the trap of thinking "but it's only 450 requirement so setting higher is unreasonable". In reality, 490 is currently the casual ilv that's easily obtained with a mix of augmented crafted, Nier and allegory. Having 490 simply shows you've played your character a little since hitting lv80 and have put a small bit of effort into gearing. It's fair to ask for that much.

It's worth keeping in mind that most of the "serious" players will get all their clears done while the content is current, so they'll have little to no reason to run it 2 patches later.

Party Finder isn't 'garbage'; it really depends on how you set up your party requirements.
I set up my own parties practically every day on PF; I make sure to set a higher ilvl, 'duty complete', and in description I set other misc requirements (such as Tsukuyomi, I put "T = N, DPS = S, Healer = big boi side [E/W]") etc.

But, I constantly see folks never placing these requirements for a farm party...which is obviously going to form a rather questionable party.

But, overall, PF isn't the issue. It's very beneficial to have actually. It depends on PF settings you have placed, and the players themselves.

There's also the issue that this raid tier has been going on for what, 7 months now? WoL is still somewhat okay since it's "relatively" new but pugging savage at this point is an exercise in futility. Pretty much all competent players are so utterly done with the raid that you're lucky if you get a group that can even potentially clear the fight, yes even in farm parties. Most of the time you just wipe 5 times and the group disbands, rinse and repeat.


Party Finder worked fine before because content never lasted so long that the only people left were the ones expecting you to carry them, the content drought only shows that nobody wants to farm the same thing for half a year in pf.
