I've been getting a ton of these crashes lately. My drivers are up to date.

I started keeping a record of them, as shown below.

It's hard to say if there's a pattern to when it happens, but it's happened both during Puppet's Bunker and while crafting in Shirogane.

Firstly don't install August Nvidia drivers they were causing problems for me. Try the July ones as that was most stable.

Try disabling your onboard intel graphics card as well to see if it helps.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

1) Make sure that your hardware is not overheating and remove any overclocks you may have on your graphics card or processor. Please check that any fans or vents are clear of blocks.
2) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs. Also, remove any custom configurations made using graphics driver-level programs
3) Remove any mods or injectors from the game or system
4) Turn off Fullscreen Optimizations. Find the executable file for the game (normally found in the install folder), right-click it and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Compatibility' tab, check the box labeled 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations', then click 'Apply'.
5) Remove any unnecessary USB or audio devices (controllers, headphones, flash drives etc.)
6) Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card
7) Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything
8) Install Windows and FINAL FANTASY XIV onto the same drive

Right, still having the issue. Intel graphics card disabled, installed July driver (7/5/2020).

1 Temperature is 42c at time of crash.
2 No custom configs, no overlays.
3 No mods or injectors
4 Fullscreen Optimizations disabled
5 usbs down to keyboard, mouse
6 graphics card updated, reinstalled, and reinstalled with july version
7 everything disabled on clean boot
8 windows and ffxiv installed on the same drive

Unfortunately, the device information in the provided System Report does indicate that the laptop being used does not meet the minimum specifications required to play FINAL FANTASY XIV most notably the Intel(R) HD Graphics Family chipset. We do not support Intel graphics cards for FINAL FANTASY XIV. However, I did notice there is an NVIDIA device listed as well. This suggests that you may be running NVIDIA Optimus which controls whether your system utilizes the Intel card or the NVIDIA card to conserve battery power. Please try disabling NVIDIA Optimus and see if the error persists. For instructions on how to force the NVIDIA card to be enabled or to disable Optimus, please contact NVIDIA Support.

Hey bunnelaire!
I'm here with some hope (but maybe not the right solution for you). I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago on my new PC. Eventually I solved it by realizing my RAM was not clocked properly. I had overclocked to 3200Mhz, but my settings in the Ryzen DRAM Calculator were a bit off. Namely, i had my RAM set as A0 instead of A2. I suspect this resulted in timings tha twere slightly off for my hardware. If you have done any RAM overclocking or if you have done any CPU undervolting/overvolting or GPU overclocking/overvolting, I would highly recommend you doublecheck that your settings are correct. For me this solved the issue completely. I haven't had any crashes since doing that fix.
