    Why do Beast Tribe quest from ARR, Heavensward and Stormblood affect daily?

    Moderator gods move this if needed but I did not see a section for Beast Tribes!

    So whenever a new currency comes out the cap is raised but somehow trying to catch up on ARR or prior expansion Beast Tribe rep for the mounts is somehow goes against your daily total?

    Is there any reason this is a thing? The only reason you would grind these is for the mounts or is someone at Square worried about people farming these for super old materia?!?!?

    Suggestion:
    Make only the most current expansion Beast Tribes count toward the dailies or create separate caps for each expansion like 12 per. It is artificial time gating for older mounts that has no reason to really exist.

    well they also make the beast tribe mounts available via the irregular moggle tome event they have once a year as well.

    I do think we're a bit overdue for an increase in daily allowances for these quests, to be honest. It used to be 6 per day but was increased to 12 back in HW, if I recall.


    Post-ARR tribes only let you spend 3 allowances per tribe per day anyway, so IMO that's already enough of a bottleneck on rep grinding.

    Why put a daily limit on it at all? Just let people do 3 quests from each tribe each day if they want.

    Same reason old treasure maps are on the timer and the dungeons aren't unsyncable.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    Yep, also the same reason levequests aren't unlimited even though SE has moved away from them this expansion.

    The limit made sense initially, back in ARR when each tribe had a lot more quests available every day. Starting in HW there were only three quests per tribe per day though. The reason for the limit has LONG since passed. Keep the 6 per day limit on the ARR tribes if you want keep the duration of the grind intact, but free up everyone else. I feel bad for new players who need 6 months of dailies to max everything at this point.

    There is a lot more than mounts.

    I’m not against removing or raising the limit. Each tribe besides ARR has a 3 quest (6 when you gain a level) limit anyways.

    Since they don’t sell gear there is little basis for people pretending they are “required”.

    Mounts you could easily obtain with a handful of moggle tomes if you wanted.
