Suggestion: Let MB prices be viewable from the gathering menu.

I'm a new gatherer and I've been having a lot of fun with it so far. One thing I kind of found myself wishing for is the ability to check the price of an item while I'm at a node. Sometimes I see things and I don't know if they're worth getting or not it would be cool to just quickly reference rather than having to pull myself out of the game to find it online. Just a small QOL change

Got my vote. I use the phone app to check right now. But the ability to do so in-game would be nice.

it would also kill the servers with the endless infinite amount of requests. you'd basically be giving the players the ability to ddos the game because they would always be checking. that's why market boards are in fixed spots.

Unlikely for the reasons DrWho says. If you arent able to plan a gathering trip in advance(checking the board before you go), then in the described situation(finding something new, unsure if its worth the effort) i would see if anyone in FC/LS/NN chat would mind checking the price for you. You wouldnt always get a reply, but it only takes a second to ask(and a few short seconds for them to see if theyre just bumming around town).

I second using the companion app. Leave it open on your device in the "Buy" screen.

I am just glad we now have a way in game to check what recipes use all the junk we pick up.

It'd be an extremely minor QoL for some people, but would have bigger negative implications, not least of which has already been described.


Honestly, if you're going out to gather for a while, just do a little MB research before hitting the node to see what sells. Or as Frizze says, if you're already out there and you really (for whatever reason) can't get back to a town to check a MB real quick, just ask the FC if anyone is standing near a MB (someone almost always is).

The fact of the matter though is that there are very few things you can gather anymore that sell for so much that you'd really need to have this info at your fingertips.
