and you know how long it took from release of eternal bonding ceremony for the unisex option to become available was? a LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNG TIME.

I LOVE THIS IDEA.

btw, I spoiler the image to prove my point because it is indeed a story spoiler lol. But not only have the bridal outfits been unlocked for both genders, so have the bunny outfits. There *is* precedent in at *least* those two [there may be others I am not aware of] for removing gender locks.
Plenty of other MMOs automatically just switch the gear/outfit's appearance when you switch sexes. Much like how XIV already handles a good portion of the in-game gear.
It's one of those things that really leaves me scratching my head at what SE is thinking. Dungeon/raid gear switches just fine. But then you have some crafted sets that have a design for both male & female, but it's two completely separate items. Same with the cash shop items. Most sets (should be all sets..) have a male/female variety, but you have to purchase them separately. Why on earth do these not just switch?
Toss this on top of the list of things that make little sense within the game. Maybe it's a blatant cash grab, maybe it's a completely inadequate system, who knows. But it is pretty lame. :X
