    Red Mage Moulinet animation glitch

RDM Moulinet animation is slightly glitched. I have noticed it in late 2019 and reported in game, but so far it was ignored (glitch is still here), so i will try my luck here.

Basically, for the first few frames of animation RDM's rapier will float. Its not game breaking, but its very noticeable. I think source of the glitch was update that made cone AoE attacks wider, and it appears that devs glitched something in the process. I hope it will be fixed in next update.
It affects both Moulinet and Enchanted Moulinet.

That's not a glitch. You release and levitate the blade momentarily to enchant it and change your grip on the hilt. Slowing it down frame by frame you can see that when you release it the casting glow appears at your feet and your hand spreads out in the casting gesture. When you grab it again your grip on it is backhanded. At the end of the animation when the full circle you make is done (even though it's a cone attack, go figure), you briefly release it again to swap the grip back to being forehanded.

The same animation does also play when using the non-enchanted version including the portion with the cast animation at your feet and spread hand gesture, but I suspect that at least isbecause it wasn't worth it to create two versions of the animation when one of those versions would never theoretically be used.

It's definitely a glitch, just look how terribly it looks like. I will try to make a gif of it. And it wasn't a thing for entire Stormblood. As i said, they just changed cone AoE size and glitched animation in the process, devs had to miss it while testing.

It looks fine. Nice blend of magic and melee. Very Jedi-like actually in how it looks like they're levitating it.

Also, if you didn't physically release the blade how do you propose the animation should move from a forehanded grip to a backhanded one? You're literally holding the blade completely differently during the middle part of the animation than you normally hold it. Or did you just not read past the first sentence where I said it was not a glitch because you don't want to hear otherwise?

And no they didn't change the animation. You can see it here in this video from 2017. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wit866hJPHY
