The First time skip applied only to the Scions being sent there, as soon as you get sent there the time lines are perfectly in sync. That would be... a horrifically bad timeline. If I'm to understand Final Days/Dragonsong War/The Ala Mhigan Conflict all happened in a year, none overlapping and instead happening back-to-back, that's a horrifically amateur way of constructing a story.
Even so, I was led to believe the time spent in the First before we were sent here was 2 years, albeit it only accounting for far less time in the Source. But now time in both are synced? They're doing a poor job of explaining this. I suppose it would be up to you to deliberate on whether 'compressed time' (spending a large amount of time in an ecosystem, only to leave it for another where far less time passed in comparison) counts towards age or not. It's all a bit confusing, I admit, and I subscribe to compressed time counting towards your age because, at least by my assumption, if you were to live out your age as an old man in the First, you would probably stay an old man coming to the Source.
So Alphanaurd should be like 19/20 after shadowbringers while the WoL hasn't aged anything crazy.
Nah soul age doesn't equal physical age (only their soul went to the first and was there for around a year) they're still only 16 due the time bubble they're in being for the year 1577 a hell of a huge one but we've seen worse with the simpsons.
Otherwise thancred would be close to his 40's or in them, being a soul with on the first for 5 years... then again Cyella the bar wench has been there for 100 and never really aged due to being kinda the same as the scions... then *shrugs* and the only difference between cyella and the scions is her physical body is dead on the 13th.

We need XIV lore experts in here. :PThat would be... a horrifically bad timeline. If I'm to understand Final Days/Dragonsong War/The Ala Mhigan Conflict all happened in a year, none overlapping and instead happening back-to-back, that's a horrifically amateur way of constructing a story.

I really wish they would just give everything a defined time tbh. Not only then would we be stuck in a time bubble where no one ages, but I feel like it'd make it easier on the devs. RuneScape 3 did something to where they just labeled quests by their in-game lore year.. (.."this quest takes place in the past before big X event happened") to give some sense of chronology to it.
But yeah, it's incredibly poorly explained, likely intentionally so to avoid having continuity errors. Having no real "time skip" happen in the First though explains why the Scions haven't aged a smidge in the Source, imo. I think they say something like 1 hour in the Source = 1 year in the First, or something like that. So yeah synced.. but not synced. God this crap is confusing lol.
Hey is it okay I don't like Y'shtola
We have a definite time bubble we are in the year 1577 which is still 5 years AFTER the fall of Dalamud. There was no time skip that affected the Scions physical bodies as it was ONLY their soul trapped on the first.
Time Bubble was confirmed by Michael Koji Fox, the year is from the Encyclopedia Eorzea around page 52is maybe one or 2 pages before with the time line
The exarch used the 1 hour = to 1 year as an example of how the time could dilate as it was in a constant state of Flux on the first. It was speeding up and slowing down constantly. At the time of SHB it had slowed down enough to be almost the same speed as the source but it was unstable even then. When we came back to the source at the end of SHB (not 5.5) we show up and Tataru is surprised because we were gone for less time than what she expected us to be.
