God this thread needs nuked.
i feel like I’ve been saying this more and more often on these forums
The irony of this thread, generally, is it is being moderated. Posts have been deleted by mods, yet the thread still stays up. While I did personally fall for the bait, I would think the mods would outright delete this thread by this point since the OP literally copy/pasted a reddit post from 2 years ago.

Why delete the thread when you can get rid of the creator instead, less headache in future moderating since it seems he's a known troll. The irony of this thread, generally, is it is being moderated. I honestly got whiplash from a few posts. As someone who is bi, I'd love to see more presensation but not for the cost of quality.
No matter if its straight or gay, there is no reason to bring sexuality into this game where it has zero relevance to the plot. And assuming (and borderline enforcing) the sexuality of a NPC who never stated it themselves, just goes into dangerous territory in my opinion. If there is one thing I cannot stand its announcing a character gay just for the sake of it. No substance, no relevance, but at least we got representation huh? I like our closest NPCs the way they are, because they show personality and depth. Their sexuality adds 0 to that, I couldn't honestly care less even if I tried. Now if they did a storychain for a random NPC where the topic revolves around that, fair point.
You know. The WoL can technically be gay or straight or bi.
Isn't that enough? because you can get married to another player character regardless of gender.
Because the only way to like...show off a clearly known LGBT character is if they like start doing the delivery moogle quest again.
And they also would have to be careful about it because this game is worldwide. But this in turn also pisses off other people because now it just feels shoehorned in just to check off the "have a lgbt character" box. That western devs have been doing lately.
I say moogle quest btw because it'll feel just too random and out of character for more important npc to just randomly tell you their gay or lezbean. Because where would they even find the time? Since gay couples and such is a norm in eorzea why would they even feel the need to tell you what gender theyre into?

If handled well (IE not blatantly so/not the defining feature of the character) very few people will really care. It's when it's done poorly or the "this character's gay now because we said so" logic that's also been going around. Like you said, our WoL's can be anything since we make their backstories up ourselves. You know. The WoL can technically be gay or straight or bi.

Can we just please stop posting in Titanman threads and just report him? The guy's a troll with too much free time on his hands.
Yeah but he'll just hop accounts anyways, it's not like the mod team cares since he can come back, change his name, and just do the same basic baiting ad nauseum and the mods either don't notice or don't do anything willingly.
Nexon used to do this in some forums. Consecutive forum offences would lead to a permaban from the forums. Then, if you were found to work around that issue, they'd ban you from the game, then consecutive bans would lead to a permaban.
Really surprised SE doesn't do that here.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
Because although this guy is technically a troll, he also brought up a point of debate - and hence why people would debate on the issue so furiously. Even if this topic was talked about years ago, things change as with time. Old subjects may be re-looked at since people's perspectives and outlooks change. The point of debate itself isn't wrong. Banning someone for bringing up an old issue such as this would be unjustified unless it was a direct necro without any meaningful discussion.Nexon used to do this in some forums. Although he started igniting the spark of this topic, it's ultimately the players who feel very strongly about this topic who would speak up and continue the thread.
