If they spent even half as much fervor on attacking republicans the democrats would win every major election forever against the republicans. This is why so many people in the US are so demoralized about voting. Nothing changes, the two parties are almost identical when it comes to actual policies and not just empty posturing.
Tbh, the progressive wing in the US is very extreme.
I often see people say that it's '' just like European countries '' which is just blatantly not true, most European left-wing governments have a lot more in common with the Democrats than the progressive wing.
The same goes with these social issues, things are very aggressive and moving at the speed of light in the US, it goes way further than what you see in Europe and it's not normal.

I dunno how you can say that they're almost identical too, Republicans and Democrats.
Especially when it comes to LGBTQ and womens rights, immigration, the economy, healthcare and military spending etc.
To me it just sounds like you get your view of the political parties from Twitter, Reddit, Twitch streamers or Youtubers.
If you think they're the same then you should probably read up a bit again on what their actual policies are.

I also see significantly more attacking the Democrats from the progressive wing than the other way around, including people building whole personalities around '' taking the Democratic party to task '' and using that as a gimmick.
Which is easy to say when it's coming from people who run in progressive states and essentially get handed elections towards Democrats who run in far more divided or moderate ones.
