Did your school not teach religion?

You must have had a very sheltered life, but I grew up in a highly sectarian part of Scotland where clashes between Catholics and protestants happened every time there was a football match, and people died. People around my neighbourhood were stabbed and dying of heroin. Children by the age of 4 swore.
I wasn't planning to respond to this but you've made a lot of assumptions about me as a person.

First off, I am Jewish (So I really don't need you to educate me on things relevant to *my* culture/religion) and no, my school didn't teach religion. I went to public school, which does not touch on religious topics unless it falls under the umbrella of history (because, shocker, not everyone demands religion be taught in schools). We learned about the Holocaust when it came up in World War II but that's the extent of my religious education in school. I would go to my synagogue/"Hebrew School" for anything further. If you wanted a religious education, you went to the catholic private school which cost A LOT more money compared to public school.

Second off, as far as me being sheltered, I lived in a town where the EMTs (paramedics) knew my household by name because of how often they were called for heroin overdoses. I've lost friends to it. I'm also a recovering addict of five years. I could go on to the deeper bits of what I've had to do to survive over the years but it's not really anyone's business and would probably just get my post deleted. Spare me on this point and drop your assumption placing on people just because you want to be right.

As someone who is also Demi and realized my sexuality about a year ago now, I just feel bad that you have such a limited view on life based on your determination to stick to religious beliefs. You won't invalidate me because I exist bbdoll, I'm here and pretty proud to be asexual. The world isn't the United States, yes, but having an open mind and practicing acceptance for your fellow person shouldn't be a foreign concept limited to just the United States (and for the record, it isn't).

Won't be replying further as I've said all I feel I need to.
