Frustrating relative lack of LGBT NPCs in this game

We are losing pages because people are reporting any comment that goes against having sexuality shoved in our face for no reason other than wanting it to be up front and center while also insulting the people. Weirdly those comments don’t get removed, but I assume it is because we’re not so thin-skinned that we’re reporting any comments that go against them like they are.

No. The posts that have been removed have been arguably borderline for violations, have probably been mass report spamed, was a discussion about trans sexuality and kids on hormone blockers, and other more meaningless things that have nothing to do with the topic of the thread or context of the thread; or were page posts to get to 100, reaching 100 and a pledge to hit 200, and a (very well tracked) rap song about the culture and identity that follows progressive talk about trans movement and gener identity. And a few very heavily baited posts and not by the people you think.

Bottom line is this:
The devs either need to make a statement on inclusion of lgbt community represented characters, which won't go well ever unless its a single specific response given; or the devs need to just implement some visible characters. Its not like its alot being asked for in the first place.
Either way, ignoring it like the devs are for as long as they have been isn't helping when troll threads like this are made.
Or, nuke these threads when ever they come up because clearly the community can't handle the discussion on both sides of the personal views.

These threads are a menace to the community my main account on the forums was perma banned for a few comments made in the same sex marriage way way way back when ffxiv introduced the eternal bonding ...
( 3 comments and perma banned and it was not calling people rude names or anything like that just a simple difference of opinion i had with another member and it got heated )

because you are 100% right the community will never handle a sensible discussion on both sides on this topic it didnt back then when i got banned and it wont now ..

plus is this really the place for these types of discussions its a video game and the sole purpose of a video game is entertainment and to take you away from real world problems and issues !

regardless of my personal beliefs or sexuality these threads need to be shut down for the for that very reason !!

note : im sure ive annoyed someone with my comment but remember i have right to my opinion as much as the next person so any hate directed my way will be met with silence

For the sake of things I'll ask you to define very specifically what you mean by "having sexuality shoved in our face". There's already hetero couples in the story, what's the difference?

I too want escapism in my video game. I'd like to escape to a fantasy world wherein gay people are not hidden away.
