I knew I was (t) letter since i was 12, So are you going to ignore that some kids go through the struggle of accepting themself? Because to be set in stone I'm just going to say it as it is I'm glad that things are opening things up more this days. Children always shapes towards suggestion.
If you keep suggesting something related with their religion, gender, view point or anything they will take it is as fact because they don't have ability to judge and ability to chose due limited experience about life.
When they grow up they might alter or change their opinions, but it might be late for certain topics, they might regret it later on.
