To everyone upset by the incredibly transphobic turn this thread has taken today, keep in mind that these posters represent a tiny, myopic and increasingly marginalized portion of the playerbase.

The vast, vast majority of communities and players of FFXIV are tolerant and accepting of the LGBT community, trans people included. Honestly, in all my time playing this game, the only place I have ever encountered out and out bigotry like this has been the official forums.
