Interesting that people say that about Ryne and Gaia, but not Squall and Rinoa- the couple that those characters are based on. Squall and Rinoa were teenagers too, after all.

There are plenty of romantic stories about young, teenage couples experiencing a blossoming romance. Lots of stories delving into the romantic lives of teenage protagonists and their attempts to find dates. But for some reason I never see "it's weird that is story is about the sexuality of a teenager" when those characters are straight.

Only when LGBT romance is involved is the "sexuality of teenagers is weird" line trotted out. I wonder why that is.

It's trotted out because people don't want to see adolescent crushes, there is a word for people who enjoy that after all. It's creepy that companies get 25-30 yr olds to play as high school students having adult relationships. It's not just straight couples its LGBT as well. Do not sexualise children (anyone under 18) the principle is simple and people will react to it because it's disgusting, perverse and you should know better.
