If nothing else, the ignore function exists for a reason. The game serves a global audience and includes people from many different cultures, countries and belief systems. The sooner more people realise that agreeing to disagree is a viable option for many things and that not everything needs to be a huge battle, the sooner we might actually see more stability in society in general.

As I've said, I'm gay myself - but honestly, I think it's pretty poor form to drag complicated issues into places where most people just want to log on after a hard day at work and play or talk about a video game that they enjoy.

That isn't me saying that nobody should create threads asking for more representation, either - but by doing so, people are going to be exposed to different opinions. I'm indifferent for the most part. If some NPC's who just happen to be gay are added to the game and it's handled tastefully? Sure, great. Equally, I've played plenty of games with no or little 'representation' and still managed to enjoy them as I don't, personally, feel the need to have it present absolutely everywhere all of the time.
