    I would also appreciate if people stopped using the phrase “sexual preference” instead of sexual orientation or sexuality; “sexual preference” is a historically problematic term that implies a choice aspect to same-gender attraction, and I really wish that straight people would actively avoid it.

    I'm confused by this, because in my head they all mean the exact same thing. Everyone has preferences for literally everything. Some are just a bit broader than others when it comes to their own. I mean no disrespect, but I seriously don't get it.
