If you go back, you'll realize I was responding to the "carefully chosen words" bit, sarcastically demonstrating further how no matter what you say, it can easily be misconstrued. How do people do this? Seriously equating a Gay man making a child with a woman, and going to "Sees them as Breeding stock."
I'm only attracted to men, I'm a Transgender Female, but when I was pretending to be male back in the 90s, I was married to a woman. We did married couples things. I still love her, even though I couldn't give her the love she deserved. Gay men can and often do have women they love, and might even have skinship with. This does not mean they think of them as a womb only. Also on this note, back in the wayback machine, when being Gay was illegal in most of the USA ie 2003 (Lawrence v. Texas). Gay men and lesbian women would often marry and have kids to hide that they were gay. Tons of famous actors fell into this category, where they married for a press release, and had kids to prove they were straight.
Now straight men, on the other hand especially in very religious circles, and in very religious nations do often think of women as a womb to bare Boy children. But this is not a discussion of the danger of conservative monotheism and the danger it holds to western civilization.
Speaking as someone who has done a ton of entry level HR work in my life all this sounds like to me was that you were being let down gently about not getting these jobs. There is more to becoming employed somewhere than just showing up and fogging a mirror.Well in 2010, the industry was quite small in the San Fernando Valley, and the local Harley shops, and Living Support companies which said they were hiring said they had filled the position when I came to fill out applications back then. It was rather odd since there is never enough Living Support Workers in the Valley, and just happens the three companies other than JNCS were not hiring when I filled out applications. So you tell me if it's odd that companies who said they were hiring said they were full when I applied in 2010. Sure I gave up trying to find new work by 2012, by then I got my 100% Service-connected rating with the VA pushed through. So I won't have to work again and get a decent income. But from 2010 to 2012 it was difficult only with Unemployment. And not being able to find a job, when I applied everywhere, in the two professions I'm actually trained for.
You had two rather specialized fields that you wanted to work in which already severely limited your potential employability because you're discounting things like retail and service industry jobs in general. Retail specialty is largely female dominated at an entry level and is (and has been, in my experience) one of the friendliest options to LGBT people for a long time.
I think a very valid potential explanation to your employment troubles could simply be that you didn't have strong references. You admit as much, claiming that a past employer would even go out of their way to spread word of issues with you to their competition.
Honestly, looking at this externality it just seems like you may not have been the best employee and want to attribute actions against that to being trans rather than for actual shortcomings you may have had. Even if a company would be stupid enough (and brave enough, frankly - it's a huge financial risk) to fire someone for being trans they aren't going to then hold some sort of grudge against you big enough for them to openly badmouth you to other companies. Do you realize how over the top that sounds?
I 100% support you in your right to transition and recieve all the care you want, I would denounce anyone saying anything otherwise as would any reasonable person. Those people are bad people. The issue here is when you attribute transphobic malice to things that have so many easier (and less serious) explainations - it will invariably make people more skeptical about claims of transphobia in the future. It is quite literally the girl who cried wolf.
I'm glad at least this has a happy ending and that you're financially sound now but I do think the way some of this thinking has shaped your worldview is unfortunate. There are not awful transphobes around every corner. Most people literally don't care beyond either being more or less sexually/romantically attracted to you because of being trans.
Oh. . .this is still going. . .
This game has bigger issue's then the sexual orientation of npc's. Being that no sex is allowed in this (T) rated game. Now the lack of Red Couches in this game is really frustrating though.
Well here's the thing though: the mods wouldn't be banning this guy under necroing a thread; they'd be banning him because he's repeatedly necroing threads left and right. To begin with, the modding here is as night and day compared to other gaming forums. For example, the mods that I knew over at Nexon wouldn't give 2 shits about pretense. They were the type that would merge topics that looked similar, lock up inflammatory threads (and give an explanation why they lock it), and did not tolerate the presence of trolls that did not know when to stop. You know how kids in school try to use rules as a shield to get around stuff they knew was bad? Well the mods would use those same rules to their advantage too and ban trolls on the premise that the TOS allows them to suspend accounts for whatever reason they see fit.Because although this guy is technically a troll, he also brought up a point of debate - and hence why people would debate on the issue so furiously. Even if this topic was talked about years ago, things change as with time. Old subjects may be re-looked at since people's perspectives and outlooks change. The point of debate itself isn't wrong. Banning someone for bringing up an old issue such as this would be unjustified unless it was a direct necro without any meaningful discussion.
Although he started igniting the spark of this topic, it's ultimately the players who feel very strongly about this topic who would speak up and continue the thread.
Of course, this was like, maybe a decade ago? No idea if the forum modding over there is the same style, same rules, etc. All I'm trying to say is that the mods here could try to wipe the crap that's being thrown in their eyes under the veil of "legit" points and be a tad more aggressive towards the appropriate people.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
Please this is a japanese game. Dont bring your western ideas into it.
The idea that LGBT representation as "Western Idea" is idiotic though.
What does that even mean. That LGBT representation is something that Japanese people, companies, etc, shouldn't be concerned about? Eh, nah.
And if people are not comfortable speaking about this, they should take time to reflect and ask themselves why is that.

NO company should be concerned about it unless that is their focus. SquareEnix makes games. They aren't a company founded, or focusing, on LGBT issues. Stop shoving your politics into everything and everywhere it has no place to be. It only results in the destruction of the company and causing division in the community, with anyone not agreeing with you being label -ists, -isms, and -phobes.The idea that LGBT representation as "Western Idea" is idiotic though.

Stop it!
Also, being comfortable about talking about it or not is completely irrelevant. THIS IS A GAME FORUM! If you want "talk" about this stuff, go to Twitter. You'll find plenty of people who will reinforce your echo chamber about it there.
