Frustrating relative lack of LGBT NPCs in this game

7 to 10% in the western world are out as Homosexual. The percentage of out Gay in nations where it is illegal is less than that.

The 10% stat is by proportion, unless the argument is that certain ethnic or racial populations have statistically higher percentages of LGBT people (which could be the case but I havent seen any meaningful study which says that there is a huge statistical difference in this). Meaning, that the general go to number of "Roughly 10% of the population is LGBT" is in reference that on average, no matter where you go, thats about the break down. This number isnt 100% accurate either, as some studies have suggested LGBT pop size is as high as 20%, and some as low as 7%.

To get an accurate assessment of the total % of LGBTQ+ people in the world is impossible at this point in history, even in the "enlightened Western World" coming out can cost you a career, and ruin your life. I live in Los Angeles and being an Out Transgender Woman means I can no longer get a job in my chosen profession, even though I have a college education and years of experience doing the work. There is a reason only a small percentage of us are willing to come out. Trust me the numbers are much higher than you could guess.

Gonna be blunt and say that Im skeptical that youre not getting work cause youre Trans, cause Im also a SoCal resident in LA County area, and do active business within LA itself and the surrounding cities. I know the political and social atmosphere in SoCal here first hand as a result. And just so people understand what is being suggested, what Gothic is saying would be akin to suggesting that San Franscisco is a rightwing/conservative stronghold. I could see there being discrimination in some small town in Michigan or Alabama or something, but one of the largest urban areas in one of the most progressive states in the US? Please. So paint me skeptical with a big fat brush when the claim is that someone is being discriminated against for being transgender in SoCal at an industry level.

So there is no industry within SoCal (let alone California) that would discriminate against you openly cause that is a cut and dry lawsuit waiting to happen, and I hazard that there is none that would do it as 'a widely known secret.' It's one thing to say people are jerks to you on an individual basis which very well may be the case, but it's another to be arguing that California (of many places) is somehow allowing businesses and industries just openly discriminate against you employment wise. If it is the way you say, then what are you doing sitting here writing out posts on this forum and not getting a Civil Right Lawyer and suing the hell out of people for refusing to hire you for being openly trans. Again, this would be a cut and dry case in SoCal here if you knew it to be a fact.
