And this alone pretty much proves this is nothing more than a troll thread.Oh wow. This thread title is word for word the same as a Reddit title back in 2017 with some paragraphs literally taken from it.
Wow, even this was taken from that thread.
In agreement with Doozer as well.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

I see.... that's unfortunate.

It is. Like I'll agree that some representation would be nice, but it needs to be in such a way that isn't their personality and instead implied by this or that (since I'm pretty sure Hydaelyn doesn't have homo/transphobia), like with Minfillia's look-a-like in the Rising event who has said in the past
Unfortunately, OP is a troll and is clearly trying to start a hate war (as evidenced by some of their posts in this thread, some of which were copy-pasted from the reddit post I linked)."You seem fascinated by my raiments. I am flattered! My betrothed made them -- as dextrous with a needle as she is with a sword, that one! A bit short-tempered, but we all have our faults, don't we?"
For example, here's another one.
And I highly doubt they're the OP of this Reddit thread from 2017.

Yikes, I believed you about them just using that Reddit thread as a script, but that's just copied and pasted. Trolls these days are so lazy. They just rip off other people's stuff and let everyone else do the arguing for them. Back in my day, yadda yadda.Unfortunately, OP is a troll and is clearly trying to start a hate war (as evidenced by some of their posts in this thread, some of which were copy-pasted from the reddit post I linked).
For example, here's another one.

The funny part is, I found that thread completely by accident. I searched something along the lines of "FFXIV Minfilia rising wife lgbt" or something, since I was going to mention her in response to OP, but then 'lo and behold, a very familiar thread title appeared.
So now any time this OP starts a new thread, I'm just gonna see if they got it from somewhere else.
Maybe I am a weirdo, but I like to play my games without thinking what for sexual preference the characters have. I want to have a good story and great gameplay, not a competition of political corectness.
I think it would help a lot of people to realize that someone's existence isn't inherently political. Are straight characters political by default? No? Then why is anything else considered political? Because they're not seen as the 'default'? Including characters that have marginalized traits (race, sexuality, etc.) isn't a 'competition', it's just acknowledging that there's so much variety and diversity out there that you're bound to meet someone that isn't what some people consider the default.
Talking dragons are normal but having queer characters is just beyond the realm of believable to some people.

All i have to say about this whole Thread:
