Frustrating relative lack of LGBT NPCs in this game

The word homophobe is so overused it holds no meaning. "Don't agree with me? Homophobe! Don't share my opinion? Homophobe! Question my opinion? Homophobe!". Like my goodness. Some folks just want to play a game without all the identity bs. You know what I want to see? Some Mexican npcs. That even LESS common as you all say than LGBT npcs xD

Mexican? I wish for my Salvadoran and Haitian friends and family to be represented please ;P Especially since our current American president once said that my country is insignificant, I think we deserve representation that doesn't put us in gangs or something.

Are you part of my community? aka do you benefit my life in any way, would it be inconvenient if you were gone? If the answer is yes then I would respect you. If the answer is no then I wouldn't cry if something happens to you.

I would be surprised if any moderators here were okay with this unapologetically expressed lack of basic human sympathy toward anyone you don’t personally know (which probably includes most other human posters in these forums whom the terms of service ask you to treat with basic respect, also meaning no harassment and the like) in whatever you define as your direct community.

Does that lack of sympathy or basic human respect also include people across the world currently dealing with the devastation of war, people outside of your own inner circle of friends and family suffering from the pandemic, victims of hate crimes in groups that you don’t know much about, and so on? Someone’s existence doesn’t need to “benefit” you directly for you to be able to feel at all bad if something bad happens to them or be concerned about current problems like exclusion and inequality.

I mean they were okay with people straight up flaming each other, calling each other names earlier so I'm not sure why Vryn having the empathy levels of an used pillow would get flagged by the mods at this point lol. I'm convinced that even if we started eRPing in here mods wouldn't shut this down

I’m still hopeful that moderators read through this whole thread at some point, because there were honestly some really toxic remarks even before discussions started happening again. Thanks to any moderators who do come here and enforce their anti-harassment policies, by the way.

Naw, about the tags: anybody can add them. But only the TC can remove them.

Oh! That's interesting, but also questionable. Why would anybody allow someone other than the OP to update the tags for a thread?

You can also see the name of the player who added each tag by letting your mouse linger on them.

Is this supposed to imply that if SE includes more LGBT npcs and storylines involving them, the next thing LGBT players will ask for is for straight people to be banned from FFXIV?
