There are plenty of romantic stories about young, teenage couples experiencing a blossoming romance. Lots of stories delving into the romantic lives of teenage protagonists and their attempts to find dates. But for some reason I never see "it's weird that is story is about the sexuality of a teenager" when those characters are straight.

Only when LGBT romance is involved is the "sexuality of teenagers is weird" line trotted out. I wonder why that is.

It's trotted out because people don't want to see adolescent crushes, there is a word for people who enjoy that after all. It's creepy that companies get 25-30 yr olds to play as high school students having adult relationships. It's not just straight couples its LGBT as well. Do not sexualise children (anyone under 18) the principle is simple and people will react to it because it's disgusting, perverse and you should know better.

Also when will you people stop trying to prove folks are phobes? I said I'm not thinking about the sexuality of a teenager. Not a straight, bi, lesbian or gay teenager. A teenager period. Stop trying to twist my words to prove a point. I'm not flying with that. If there was anything sexual shown in ShB between those 2 that's 100% your imagination. Once again, you can be close with someone without having sexual feelings for them. This seems more like desperate hope for representation

Personally there's about 100 other character traits I care about first, who they want to sleep or cuddle with is really not in my interests. But to each their own.

This might seem like a new's flash to you, but people read into ( headcanon ) most things that they like. Graha stans will be convinced that of course he's flirting with the WoL and wants to marry him/her. Emet stans will headcanon that they dated way back then. LGBT people will make headcanons that they can relate to like Ryne/Gaia, and certain people will headcanon that hydaelyn is their mommy.

Personally I feel like there is however an unexplorer ship and that is Lahabrea and Gaius' romance that was merely swept under the rug. Gaius' character development is astonishing after he got dumped.

On a serious note, you can interpret anything however you want, disagreements will happen, I mean just look at the Hydaelyn situation. At the end of the day it really doesn't matter. Personally the whole Gaia thing kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth with the revelation of her identity and what we learn in EW. I'm sure you can do better representation than that.
