LF a FC that doesn't have a lazy leader, and vile officers.

Good evening.

I'm LF a FC or guild, that doesn't have vile officers and a lazy leader. I was recently kicked out of a FC and their discord, because the leader wouldn't deal with the harassment and vile behavior of an officer.

(RP or no, some things still cross the line.)

As you my assume, I'm concerned for other players that enter that FC. I was going to report all of them, but I was told it wasn't worth it since Square Enix doesn't do anything about it.

(This is a shame, as I'm tried of pedos grinding against my lalafell.)

I'll be taking a break from FF14, to figure out what to do next. Damn shame, since the update just came out and I wanted to see what was next in the story.

Other than the leader's response, "I got back to work after 6 months, so I don't have time for this". I'm going to assume that he favors this officer for some reason.

No one in the FC will answer my tells, so it's anyone's guess.

First, never listen to anyone who tells you not to report something because it's "not worth it" or "they won't do anything". The speaker doesn't know jack sh** and is part of the problem by silently enabling. Report them to SE, to Discord, file a police report, whatever. Don't be silent.

Second, no one wants drama and you're clearly bringing some. I would suggest editing your post to focus on the positives of what you want in a FC instead of focusing on the negatives that you don't want. You could have said, "Looking for an FC with an active, supportive community" and that would have meant the exact same thing as what you wrote with a 100% positive vibe. Will everyone claim to be that even when they are not? Maybe. i guarantee you no one will admit to being what you wrote either.

Yes, I could have written my post a different way. I'm just tired of being the one who runs into these sort of guilds/FC/etc (starts out friendly, then ... Third or fourth one, to date). I enjoy playing FF14, so maybe I should just solo for now on.

It's unfortunate that you have had a run of bad luck on finding a FC which fits for you - are these FC's ones which you asked to join or are they ones that send out invites to everyone (if it is the latter then that's probably the answer right there). There is a quite good FC recruitment subreddit so why not have a look and see if there is anything there that catches your eye.

As far as FC drama is concerned remember that it is ideal if you try to sort it out in private chats with the person involved first. If that fails then escalate it within the FC if you think it is necessary. If the incident is serious then also consider reporting to SE or Discord (depending upon which platform it happened on). Remember that you have the ability to mute the person also.
