Anyone Else Having Issues with the Bookshelf Staircase?

So the new Lv. 80 Wooden Staircase Bookshelf is giving me a headache. I tore down my carefully floated lofts and staircases to replace them with the new bookshelf staircase, and I regret it so bad.

Not only does my character model jump rapidly while ascending the staircase, but sometimes my character even gets stuck near the top. It's as if there's a tiny invisible wall in the staircase, which I have to wiggle to get through. It also lines up poorly with the lofts itself, which still need to be floated back up to have furniture on them.

I'm not sure about filing a bug report yet, because to be honest, a lot of furniture is screwy when moved around or on top of. I'm just really hoping that when the new housing wards get released, SE finally gives us some much needed QoL improvements on the decorating system. Especially around having multiple stories in one room.

Yep, it is glitchy. Luckily for me I only tore down the stairs leading up to the loft and tried to replace them with the bookshelf. Didn't look like how I wanted it to so it was a easy fix for me.

I was also having trouble with this so i double checked the description and it seems to be because se intended this to be used as a shelf only and not as stairs for some reason. you can actually set things directly on the steps. really weird decision imo
