    Lost Connection

Good, for 2 days my connection in FFXIV is painful, I am on the LOUSIOIX server and I have constant drops, but not from the server itself, if not they are cuts within the game, everything is stopped, players, bosses but I continue in motion although without being able to do anything, and after 5-10 seconds everything returns and thus every two by three in indeterminate hours. Can someone tell me if it happens to someone else? My PC is correct, my internet is perfect, 1000MB speed and no packet loss in other internet games. Is this being a game / server problem? Thank you

Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Are you connected directly to the router or are you using WiFi? Additionally, what have you tried to alleviate the issue? Is the Final Fantasy XIV game launcher allowed through the fire wall.

Hello, thanks for the answer . I am wired to my routter. To try to solve the problem I have uninstalled and installed the game again. I have reinstalled motherboard Ethernet drivers. I have reset the routter. I have turned it off for 1 hour. I have changed the cable through which I connect my internet. I have called the company to monitor my line and know if there would be a problem, something that after 48 hours they have denied me. I have disabled the antivirus. I have disabled the Firewall. I have activated the Firewall confirming that it has the permissions. I have updated all kinds of drivers (which was not necessary because everything was up to date). I have not installed any new programs on my pc in the last 3 weeks. But after all this, I have been with this problem for two days, the game does not throw me, it does not give me server lost but for 15 seconds every so often everything in the game stops except me. I have verified that when this happens in the resources within the game where you can see the packets that you send and receive, in those moments I am sending but I am receiving 0. And the strange thing about all this is that the game was great for me until 2 days ago (and this same thing happened to me as soon as I put 5.3), this problem lasted 3 days and then suddenly it was solved but now it has returned and does not seem to be solved

I know belgium and netherlands are having serious ddos attacks in the last few days.
The problems you describe could also be a bad connection between you and square enix and if along that route a ddos attack is flowing you could very well experience issue's like you describe.
there is very little you can do besides using a vpn to force a different route between you and the SE server.

Caitlinzulu first of all thank you very much for the information. I connect from Spain to the Louisoix server and I never really had this problem until now described. Is there a VPN that you can recommend that is reliable and good? Thank you

I update the thread because I am still the same, neither VPN nor anything. I have even formatted the PC and nothing at all, every so often my game freezes for 5 - 10 seconds and suddenly everything returns to fast speed and at lightning everything stops again. I don't know what to do anymore and honestly I am quite sorry because I see that I will have no other option but to quit the game and it is a great shame, but playing like that is really not fun and it does not make you enjoy yourself. Until they put 5.3 I had never had these problems but from 5.3 as soon as I put it on I had this problem for 3 days and it solved itself but now all of a sudden it's been 5 days and it doesn't seem to be solved and it's increasingly clear to me whatI don't think it's a problem of mine if not more of the game, although I imagine that if this doesn't happen to a lot of people they won't give it any importance either, but it really is a great shame

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

I have done exactly what you have told me and it does not solve anything, what's more, today out of curiosity I tried to download the game on my partner's PC and the game gives exactly the same problems, on the two PCs, which are totally different , I still do not have a solution and it has been 7 days with this problem, I really think that this is not about my PCs, Yes, it is something really from the game because it cannot be that in 2 different PCs of the same problem
