    Botanist Accessories

Where can I find or craft rings that help gathering classes?

A quick search for "Botanist rings" and "gathering rings" has not netted me any helpful results

im really new here have just gotten my goldsmith to lvl 44 and searching by rings i can only find rings that grant CP, but none that provide GP or gathering bonuses like perception, so where do gathering accessories come from?

thanks in advance and sorry for the noob question

So the reason you arent finding any rings is that most jewelry for gathering classes arent made by goldsmiths. They tend to be leatherworker or carpenter recipes mostly. Theres lore in a quest somewhere about the natural materials bringing one closer to nature, or something like that. A ring in your level range would be this. With that said, jewelry only adds GP(with little room to meld other stats) until you get to some of the really high level sets.

For future reference, if you cant find the item in your recipe book you can use the market board to search for it. A market search for rings usable by a botanist at level 44 would have turned up that Boarskin Ring i linked plus the lower level versions(as well as some other rings that arent useful to a botanist, but could technically be equipped by one). If youre on the free trial and the market isnt available, you can look to the internets as well. Garlond Tools is useful for this sort of thing(item searches, gathering timers, etc). Can be found here.

    Many thanks!
I like the lore behind it, and i guess i could have looked a bit more, i didn't realise carpenters or leather workers could make rings, and thanks for the market board tip! will definitely come in handy searching down the line. guess im off to level up my leather worker and carpenter some more, really enjoying the crafting all my crafting classes (except fishing) are progressing faster than my combat class XD

As a small tip, unless you just want it leveled for completion or want to be 100% self sufficient, you can generally skip leveling fisher if you don't enjoy it. Culinarian and very rarely Alchemist are basically the only two classes that ever use fish as components, and not even that often. Miner and Botanist are quasi-mandatory, but fisher is largely optional.

It isnt just rings. There are carpenter and leatherworker necklaces earings and bracelets too. At some level ranges they make some/all of the jewelry for crafters or adventurers too. Then again, at certain levels the best gathering stuff is from goldsmith too. They tried to mix it up so each crafting class would be useful.

And ill +1 Stepjams note about fishing. If you arent enjoying it, not doing it wont put you at a huge disadvantage. There are a select few ALC recipes, and of course sea food CUL ones, that require fish but if you absolutely need one you can usually buy it from the market. I eventually leveled it just for completions sake, but it was last to get done by a LONG stretch.
