Technically, 1.0 was shut down in November of 2012, so it's been closer to 8 years than 7 since the Calamity in real life.

The real shame of this year's Rising is that Yoshi-P was cut off before he could give us any clues about the future.
I guess we could read into it and say that the fireworks going boom means everything is about to explode, but probably just a fancy way to tease us and give us nothing.
