To you. He's probably one of the most prominent actor for African Americans and has done a lot for those communities. There's a reason Black Panther was a cultural phenomenon.I say no.
Nothing against Chadwick, but I do not think that sort of thing really belongs in FFXIV.
If you want to give to some charity, you can do so anyway.
Besides, while I am sure there are plenty of nerds here, I bet most people here wouldn't have been able to tell you who Chadwick was if you had asked them two weeks ago. He wasn't quite that famous.

Honestly, i didn't knew his name until everyone on the internet were posting about his death. The only thing i knew about him is that he was Black Panther in the Marvel Movies. That's it.
When i see aLalafellcharacter wearing a cute glam

...Kinda diminishes his impact to reduce his career to a singular role, don't it?

This isn't like the David Bowie reference in the Antitower where it was released incredibly close to his death, meaning it was meant to be a reference and not a tribute but worked out that way due to timing of it all.
They would have to intentionally add this emote as a tribute and to be blunt only really matters to those that actually knew him, fans are people who could be touched by their performance, their social life if they use Twitter etc, but in the grand scheme of FFXIV while the emote itself would be harmless, purposefully adding it as a tribute emote is not worth it.
To add, did we receive any special item or emote for the passing of Yugiri's original voice actor who while not a celebrity was very connected to FFXIV, No, SE allowed as much time as they could without replacing her voice actress out of respect to her.
Look at KH3 Phil's voice actor died so they left him mute for every country, SE probably would've done the same thing with Master Xehanort if it weren't for the fact he was the main villain of the arc, SE's way of dealing with death is very silent respect when they can, adding an emote isn't their way.
Donate to Charity, help the ones who are actually hurting from their loss of this man, but I think it is very poor taste to try and get a game company who has had no affiliation with the man to make an emote based on him just because you feel everything you do needs to pay tribute to someone you cared about.

I didn't even take that as a tribute, just a pop-culture reference that conveniently fits the spriggan naming theme - particularly as it comes after the first boss referencing Kermit the Frog.
I don't think there's any need to commemorate a specific celebrity that has no affiliation to this game. If it's something that's in the collective whirlwind of pop culture then it may well get a reference in a quest title or something just because that's what the writers like to do. But not an emote dedicated to one specific person, or they'll have to do it for everyone.
This is a subscription based game, players already pay enough that SE could donate very easily if there is enough request, they don't need to specifically make something to generate money. Overwatch did a Pink Mercy skin for cancer research and yeah it was popular, but how many people brought it just for the appearance and don't particularly care about the proceeds, hmm.
Also no offense to Chadwick, but people constantly die to cancer (have had family members that did), it shouldn't take a celebrity dying for people to be encouraged to donate to research.
Problem is where do you draw the line? I mean it's not as if the character he portrayed or the man himself (as far as I know) had anything to do at all with the Final Fantasy genre.
What about when the next person dies which social media then promotes to dizzying heights of heroism? You can't do it for them all so better to do it for none so you do not offend.
I never heard of this guy until he died. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don't think this really has a place in this game's setting, but stranger things have happened I guess.
