Party Finder RMT selling clears and items

I would assume that it doesn't matter if you could do an ultimate with 7 people from a dps standpoint, the mechanics simply won't let you if someone is dead 90% of the time. Even savage fights have mechanics where you simply wipe unless all 8 people execute them correctly, Light Rampant being a good example. You can't "carry" someone through E8S with only 7 people doing mechanics.

Ultima ultimate cleared with 7 people. I never specified any specific fight, just that if it were possible, people could make money.

There is a difference in stance that “all ultimates can be done with 7”, and “fights which can be done with 7 will see clear sales”. My point is the latter.

I’m not sure what you are assuming, because even Bismarck ex needs 2 people to do unsync’d. Certain fights just require bodies. Some don’t.

I’m not sure what account sharing has to do with anything. To sell runs all you need to do is be able to clear it with 7 people (which has been done).

Maybe UCoB and UWU are now doable with 7 players but people are also selling Ultimate Alexander clears and that can't be done (so far) without 8 active people, so account sharing/piloting your character is an absolute requirement for that.

Most people selling ingame are not Rmting they are doing it for gil. And I see nothing wrong with it, it is not different then people asking crafters to make something. How my guild bought our large house in the ARR days when they first launched.

Now the ones who are "if you want a clear contact me in X discord to discuss"... then you are getting into the fishy situations where rmt is more likely involved since the deal is being done outside the game where SE will not ban you for doing rmt deals.

I glanced at PF just now and every single party selling runs directs you to discord. Why do they need to do this if they're all legitimate. Besides, you can check this easily for yourself by adding them on discord and asking for prices. (Hint: the majority won't list gil)

I can't imagine being naive enough to believe these run sellers aren't RMT. I wonder how many people intentionally obfuscating the issue by saying "b-but what about gil?" are actually themselves personally involved in selling runs for real money.

With that said, it's a moot point, because they shouldn't be allowed to spam the party finder with their garbage anyway. It should be banned, or SE should make a separate PF tab for advertising that doesn't shove it in your face every time you open it up.

Report if your're 100% sure, blacklist them via PF and move on. Its all you can do.

I believe Yoshi P talked about this in an interview long ago. He said something along the lines that it's not against the ToS since it's based on in-game trade items/currency. Basically bounty hunting. I think he was also encouraging this practice, I can't remember because it's been too long. IMO they should have a bounty board where players could post requests for clears, certain items, and offer their own services. I suppose that's what the fellowship might be for other than the frequent eRP channels that show up? lol

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't need 5 accounts asking you to talk to the same person on discord (IE same discord account) if they were doing it for gil. They are just as bad as gil spammers in cities IMO.
