Party Finder RMT selling clears and items

Selling runs for gil should also be a ban-able offense.
They should let us pass RMT reports as easy for run sellers too.

I agree that RMT is an issue but your are really reaching at this point and if that's the case, crafters selling neo gear via PF should be banned as well because you know they could be part of the RMT issue. Seriously there is not a thing wrong selling services for in game currency after all its an MMO and it will happen. If you are good you and your friends can handle the clears with ease by all means you can offer clears for gil as well nothing is stopping you.

Just to be clear, we're talking about ones asking you to spend real money right? and not the many parties asking for gil in return for clears?

Anyone mislabeling to get their stupid ad at the top should be reported. I don't care if they're selling or not. If they are using the Expert Tag and are not looking for a group to do Expert with, that should be a reportable offense where the person is booted from using Party Finder. I'm not even asking for disciplinary action, just Party Finder bans of appropriate length depending on how many reports the person has earned in a day, week, etc. Its ridiculous and has been since well before Stormblood.

Mislabeling? Like labeing your group a farm party and then wiping on easy mechanics? I agree that should definitely be reportable.

I've been seeing bots out in full force lately. All the midlanders with default faces and gibberish names sinking into the ground and glitching out of existence. Each time I play on a non-locked server I see at least a few per play session.

How does this work exactly? The bots I mean. I'm always been curious about it. I saw them a couple of times (names like ahsgksdfksdfksdfbsdkfbsdkbf or something, with "Wanderer" title), standing at the same spot, teleporting... what does these bots even do when they do that? What advantages does the person using them are gaining for using them like that?

These are Gil farms. I’ll refrain from posting the common countries these are run in, but it’s fairly well known.
Anyway, they simply script a bunch of accounts to automate themselves to 50 and then from the looks of it, farm Amdapor Keep over and over again. It’s one if the earliest level 50 dungeons, can be spammed 100ish times a day per character (there’s a global daily limit), and generates gil from kills.
There’s been a number of complaints about the wait times to get into AK, it’s real bad for legitimate players.

Anyway, if you ever see someone RMT advertising in the starting cities, these gibberish bots is where all the gil comes from. Usually.
There’s other even worse ways to get gil but this at least explains the flock of poshacking bots you see.

The only real way to stop it is to make it unprofitable by not buying gil. I highly doubt they even legitimately pay for the hundreds if XIV jets needed for each character. It’s likely stolen CC info. So there’s no real monetary loss when they get banned, they just redo it all. There’s no effort from a human, it’s all automated. Until people stop buying gil (what are they even buying with it?) they’ll probably never stop farming.

The only right click > report in the game is from someones name in chat and it's for RMT only. Can't even report bots or cheating this way. All other reporting you have to manually fill out a forum.
