Is it the typical type of macro where its not actually auto hide and return, like the chat log feature where you have to manually hide it and it turns back on any time you're trying to do something else while using the gamepad?

Its not "auto" if you have to manually do it. Thats literally the antonym of the word. (Manual is the antonym of automatic.)

You never mentioned the word "Auto", hence my response was not in relation to it being automatic. but I appreciate you explaining the difference between manual and automatic... Enlightening.

An option to hide hotbars after a certain amount of time of inactivity.

Hotbar 5, 6 & 7 for example:

/hotbar display 5
/hotbar display 6
/hotbar display 7
<wait.5>
/hotbar display 5 off
/hotbar display 6 off
/hotbar display 7 off

The hotbars will automatically hide after 5 seconds (or whatever you set it to).
