Skills glamour would be nice, and unique compared to other MMOs. All jobs (except new ones) have plenty of removed actions, it allows for very high level of customization.

I'll add that 5.0's feature is probably the TRUSTS system in newly released dungeons. Unlike the other 'features' this one comes with some additional overhead with each dungeon release. So, they might not do something like this again.

TRUST is a feature, but if we're comparing to HW's flying and SB's swimming/diving, then the ShB's equivalent should be world visit.

If we're talking something completely new, then prolly some king of engineering work. Something like the ability to build and customize mechs and constructs.

Another option would be archeology where we find ancient artifacts out in the overworld, getsome lore on ancient civilizations, or an airship system that doubles as a house rather being gated by a house (and FCs) and could be used to raid other airships and get some similar loot.

I feel like GC is gonna have a big shake up. I know Yoshida had express interest into doing more with it than just adding more glam. With the renewed war against the empire, that sort of update would coincide well.
