Request: Full featured in-game collection progress system

I'm a big fan of FF14collect which keeps tabs on what you've unlocked but it only does so with publicly available data, the rest you have to mark it down like a visual excel sheet. But if you love collecting things in-game whether it's completing achievements, minions, mounts, glam etc...

GW2 has this feature where items are grayed out and once you've completed it, it shows that you have done so. I think that if we could keep track on what we collect to aim for completion, many of us would have more to do and of course that means subbing for longer.

What do you guys think?

Yes please! Adding "known" to pets, mounts and music rolls etc would be so lovely!

Definitely would like a list for the minions. There is one for the orchestration list and I appreciate that, but it would be nice for mounts and minions (with ability to toggle that info on and off).

I don't even need a list.. I just need to be able to mouseover something and get a tooltip that tells me whether I have it or not. Not just for my benefit.. but the people who lost things to me because I rolled just to make sure if I didn't have it I got it this time.

If the system can keep me from buying things that I have already, why can't there just be a marker that says "already known".

IIRC they were working on an item log and they determined it was too much and so they took some of that info and put it into their lore book. Would love to see them go back and try it again, for the the reasons you listed (glamour, minions, mounts, etc). Or it was an amazingly vivid memory that never happened lol.

Either way I think it would be really cool to have a better logging system. For a while I've really wished there was some sort of faded green checkmark background on items you've obtained before that are like mounts, music, minions, and could be for glamour too if they added a transmog like system.

Aw that's a shame. I know that they have all the features already in-game since how else would the game function? It's basically something like, for each minion; does the player own? If yes, enable icon, if not, disable avatar. It's the same thing they do with BLU spells. So imagine you could see the 400 available pets (or so) and whatever you don't have is grayed out and maybe if they are generous they could add a tooltip on where to find it.

They do this with orchestreons but unfortunately many have different names before crafting it and it gets weird fast. It's not terrible but at least it's a way to keep track.

Due to the glamour mechanics work, we won't ever be able to collect them all like in Guild Wars so we don't need a way to keep track of these. However the Armoire could have this feature for premium items?

Mounts could work like the pets system, grayed out for what isn't obtained yet. I want to point out that there could be a button that toggles this on/off so you don't have to cycle through pages of grayed out mounts on a regular basis.

Quests would be nice, where you could see a list of every quest and where to find it, and a percentage of total quests completed. But, I don't think this will ever happen. Plus, it's kind of fun to look around for quests.

Achievements are already done and good as-is I think.

I'm not sure what else could be tracked, but those are just ideas. At the very least the mounts and minions would be a nice addition!

It would be nice to have an in-game completion log. Would make it so much easier to be able to know which orchestration rolls you already have from the raids. Especially if it was just a littel check mark in the corner of the tool tip.

At the very least, I'd like to be able to click "search for [item]" and have it work for items you "consume" to get.
Let it search your minion list, etc. and at least tell you that way if you've already gotten the thing.
