Exactly. People just want to whine though about stupid stuff.I like how people declare their own ideas to be great without even saying what they are in the topic. "This one's a keeper!"
No, it's not.
I always have been, and always will be adamantly against paid feature changes. The only time they should be allowed is when new features are added, out of fairness to those who made their character before it was added. e.g. if a new race or set of hairstyles comes out. People shouldn't treat character generation frivolously knowing they can change it later. They should make their choices carefully knowing they probably CANT change them.
Alhanelem's post included. Seriously what harm does it inflict on you if people want a change? IF it's a paid one it's something people will think twice about doing anyway.... A name change should come with a decent price tag to discourage people from changing it for stupid reasons, like a bad rep. So should server transfers when they come.
As for looks, that's just aesthetics stuff it's fun and I highly doubt you'll be able to change EVERYTHING, just hairstyle and possibly the color of the hair, I would not doubt it if the color was off limits even knowing SE and how they like to have control (We'll never see body sliders for example).

Here's a simple idea I have for this game. If someone adds you to their Social List/Friend's list, then I should be told who added me so I can have the opportunity to do so as well.
I've never played FF11 but in other games I'm usually told that someone added me, or wants to add me, to their friend's list. But yeah, this is a pretty simple feature that I'm surprised wasn't in the game from the beginning.
I'm pretty sure it will be added eventually. It's just a tiny detail they probably have not gotten around to yet. There's so much to do.![]()
Basically in FFXI when someone adds you to a list you get a PM where you get the option to add them/deny/block, then the message gets sent to THEM when you add them/deny them. So it's a very nice little feature. Most MMOs I think generally tell you that you were successful on adding them, not always they added you. Though they tend to have that option off by default.
Aw I don't see what the big problem is with a barber shop type npc as long as it doesn't cost RL money ; ;
Changing aesthetics is funJust like doing it in RL! ahem >.>;
That sounds awesome. We need that.
The reason why people don't like to see FFXI being used in a discussion because it brings out the shitposters who feel the need to say whether or not the game was good or bad. Grow up.
On a related note, as everyone else said OP. 2.0
Pretty excited for it myself because I'm fairly tired of seeing everyone with this hairstyle. Hoping they add more decent options to pick from.
