FFXIV Idea - This one is a keeper!

Changing appearance by way of hair style/color is fine. In fact I would love to see that added to the game. Even allow things like scar/tattoo & eye color changes as well.

As for the name. I'm not too keen on changing that up. Your name is who YOU are. I've dealt with some very nasty unkind people in past games. I don't want those people to shed their past indecencies as easily as changing a name. There are some things that are just unforgivable, such as threats, racism & vile misconduct.

So for a long time, even while playing FFXI I had the dream of being able to change my hair color/style. I also think being able to change your name (even is just once per character creation). My reason for these ideas are simple... Like many of you I played FFXI for a few years and wouldn't it be nice to have been able to change things up after awhile? What does everyone think?

I'm to lazy to look it up, but I'm pretty sure 98% sure that they are going to make a "barber" in the game.

I think we should just stick to new game content and not tassles until this game gets better. Afterall, I hear 2.0 lets us remake our characters anyways. I think I have read official stuff, but can't remember. Don't quote me on it.

No, it's not.

I always have been, and always will be adamantly against paid feature changes. The only time they should be allowed is when new features are added, out of fairness to those who made their character before it was added. e.g. if a new race or set of hairstyles comes out. People shouldn't treat character generation frivolously knowing they can change it later. They should make their choices carefully knowing they probably CANT change them.
