I remember in SWG the image designer was pretty popular, even if made fun of. :P They could change another players look and even charge for the service.

I could certainly see this, or some other means to achieve the same thing, if 2.0 provides a lot of options for character customization. Usually, asian MMOs focus less on the individual though so I'm unsure as to how much more customization we can expect. What we have now is the standard for games made in that area of the world. Certainly nothing like CoX in the way of character personalization.

I'd like to see it if they provide us with more than just a handful of hairstyles, faces, etc.

Not sure how I feel about the name change. I kind of see that more as a means for a troublemaker to slide under the radar on their server. Maybe paid name changes just for those people who really want to change their name.

So for a long time, even while playing FFXI I had the dream of being able to change my hair color/style. I also think being able to change your name (even is just once per character creation). My reason for these ideas are simple... Like many of you I played FFXI for a few years and wouldn't it be nice to have been able to change things up after awhile? What does everyone think?

name change is good for someone who might be getting picked on, but it making it even easier for people who are a-hole to be a-holes

when 2.0 turns around I hope they add all the new races they are going to add, not a week later after we get a chance to redo our chars.

Would suck if they released new races after they allowed us to do it, who here would reroll a new char ? O.o
