your all over it man, damn feels good to a some back up on these forums. I am bout at the point to swear off the forums all together, simply cuz you get whiny emo player crying bout crap they have no idea what the hell they are talking about. IMO wana "fix" pld give us back magic def and or combine magic and normal def under the same stat. as far as physical def tho, In the gear I got now , physcial damage if a joke, I can tank Princess all damn nite with only one healer in the party and thats with the healer taking care of buffs mostly. Magic damage has no real soulution to defending against it except for a well timed stone skin / sentinal. IMO that is our biggest problem. HP is blah if def is AWSOME , and if you are stacking vit like you should, HP should be within 500 of WAR at any given time. add 100% block rate for 30% of the fight and about a 20% block rate for the rest of the fight , WAR is the safest tank option right now. Now add that we can SS ourselves and that solidifies PLD as safest tank in game atm.
Na, I was dead on. I said increase PLD's curing so that having one whm in the pt would be a viable option; this would give PLD a niche. Making Holy Succor instant was one of the things I had in mind. There's so much wrong here....
It's well known fact WAR generates more enmity more quickly than PLD. How often do you play the game?Enmity is fine.
I don't play PLD, because it's bad. When I need to tank I play WARIf you're not holding hate on PLD, you're doing something wrong.
In a addition to the things I already mentioned, more blocking would be nice, more mp regen, and more defense would all be welcome changes as well.
You're a silly gooseAlerith
Magic Def sucks, you are trolling right?IMO wana "fix" pld give us back magic def and or combine magic and normal def under the same stat.
Actually, I was talking about real content not mini bosses. XDI can tank Princess all damn nite with only one healer in the party
The stuff I suggested is pretty much general consensus. So... yeah pmuch... lol Sweet wall of text though.
I'd also like to mention: "your" =/= you're "soulution" =/= solution "physcial" =/= physical "sentinal" =/= sentinel.
If you can't spell sentinel, chances are you don't might not even know how to use it lol.
In the mean time, until they fix PLD that is, watch this video to cheer you up!

What else does PLD need as far as curing? It has Holy Succor, of which only the cast time would need adjustment, and can also use Cure if you don't need the big bomb.
I never said PLD generates more enmity or more quickly than WAR. I did say that it's capable of holding hate in it's own right, which is the case.
So you don't play PLD...but feel you know how to "fix" it?
A natural block rate increase would be nice, but isn't totally necessary due to the adjustments to Divine Veil. PLD is also already loaded up with one decent MP regen and one good MP regen. Those two are plenty to sustain yourself unless you have to spam Holy Succor, and if you're in that situation, you probably have Ballad as well.
I believe that's why he's saying to make it better. A majority of what kills a Paladin is magic damage. Increased MDEF would be a beneficial boost to the job.
Mini-boss or not, it's still a notorious monster used in content that is important to people. I'm sure "It's not like it was real content!" isn't going to hold well with your party if you wipe to the mini-boss.
No matter how horrendous his spelling may be, grammatical errors does not equate to a lack of playing capability. C'mon now.I'd also like to mention: "your" =/= you're "soulution" =/= solution "physcial" =/= physical "sentinal" =/= sentinel.

For one who corrects other's spelling you should watch your own grammar. Can't believe we have the same name :xNa, I was dead on. Either way, no those are probably the worst PLD change ideas I have yet to see. PLD doesn't need a stronger heal, Holy Succor is already very nice, the cast time is the only down fall to it since plds are supposed to get hit. Also a Paladin should not be a DD, it's a tank that follows the supportive role. That's why they get a skill like Riot Blade and Divine Veil. Holy Succor pretty much makes it so that you use it on others to get the best returns. The changes you stated look more like a gimp warrior with heals.
If anything just bring up PLD's survivability. Make defense actually useful, maybe add damage reduction to PLD exclusive gear.
